I'll be picking up the Target exclusive steelbook copy this Tuesday! pictures of it online look pretty awesome. Definitely a movie worthy of a steelbook treatment
You can read my review of "Django Unchained" here - http://geektasticfilmreviews.blogspot.com/2012/...
I've heard rumours of a director's cut, which is fairly unlike Tarantino. However, the theatrical cut leaves out much of the shooting script, so I'm hoping that an expanded version is forthcoming. Scenes between Foxx and Jackson, explanation of why Dicaprio's sister seems borderline mentally handicapped, etc etc etc. As an unapologetic Tarantino fan, I would've been happy with a five hour Django, if the length merited the story.
My favorite movie of 2012. Will be picking this up,immediately upon release...

The Kill Bill movies have basically no extras at all.

I predict a more substantial special edition by the holiday season.

Favorite movie of the year! Day one buy

So they let Universal have home video distribution prior to release, but they kept everything else (theatrical, pay-TV, et al).
Well, that makes sense then.

Yeah, the sunglass were added (I have the original poster sans-glasses on my wall)

One gripe about the DVD/Blu-ray release: how come Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is not releasing this but Starz/Anchor Bay is? "Inglorious Basterds" was co-distributed by Universal and they release it on the home media formats here in the U.S. Shouldn't Sony do the same for "Django"? They did co-distribute with the Weinsteins', after all.

I absolutely loved this movie to death! It was bloody, brutal, hilarious (the KKK scene especially) and pretty brilliant at points. For the near three hours it was, I was never bored and actually wanted more (still hoping for an extended cut). I'm still a bit chapped that DiCaprio didn't get nominated for an Oscar though, he was (IMO) the best part of the whole movie. There was one scene where he was absolutely terrifying and he nailed it out of the park. Most of my problems with the film are just brief nitpicks. Can't wait to buy this day 1! Love Tarantino!

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see this when it was in theaters, but I heard great things about it. I love abou 90% of Taratino's work (especially Kill Bill), so I can't wait to catch this once it's released.
Because they're something he wears throughout the movie? Though they do look very much like they were added to the original image in photoshop.
Why the sunglasses?
