Lord and Saints preserve us... Still, that Pike lass is fit.

This was okay, nothing special except for the first person shooter sequence.
Indeed. Rosamund Pike is lovely. This movie was exactly what it intended to be - good popcorn-flick fodder. Enjoyable and fun.
She's definately a looker...

As for the movie, I'll definately rent it. It is one of those flicks that I bet plays out better on a home theater then at a real one.

DOOM (2005)
This looked pretty stupid. I will rent it though because I loved The Rock, he is really cool. But is anyone else getting sick of all these Unrated Editions? Why dont the studios just release that version in the first place? If they film the scenes why not put them in the film. Every horror film that comes out is getting a Unrated Edition. And its not like that add anything new just some more charecter development. I'm getting tired of this.

I think this is one of the reasons for the abysmal box office this year. Most movies get watered down to get a PG-13 rating, supposedly to attract the largest audience. However, most of the public knows that in 3-4 months there will be the unrated edition available on DVD.
That said, Doom doesn't really fall into that category. It was rated R. Releasing an UNRATED or NC-17 movie to theaters is suicide. Most theaters won't carry them.

Which is why it's looking more and more that the theatrical release is just a sneak peak for the DVD.

I didn't want to see it in theaters... but, I guess i'll give it a rent.
Can't wait to see this - I'm sure it's mindless but the Rock is always good for a fun and diverting popcorn flick.
Eh, it was decent, worth the $5 I spent to see it in the theater, but I might wait till it hits the $5 bins at Wally World. Not a horrible movie, just not one I'll watch over and over either. Could have been worse, though. It could have been directed by Uwe Boll!
this looks like a recent rent.. some good action sequences probably some gore, looks like the resident evil series and I enjoy those so i'll rent this for sure. wouldnt blind buy this one though!
Jonny, thanks for making my day with that lovely pic.
Early specs and artwork added...
that is a pretty ugly looking cover. I wish that they used the poster, simple and pretty cool looking. This just makes The Rock look foolish.
Didn't see it at the theater, but will by the unrated DVD. Alhtough the cover is ugly(emphasizes on "early artwork"
!
Artwork looks too... CGI-ish. They should have stuck with the red-dark arts. They need to touch it up too.
Nice work on the picks again Jonny!

One of the worst movies of the year, laughable at best, they should have shot the whole movie in first person shooter mode, it would have made it more entertaining.
They should have put Rosamund Pike nude on the cover of the DVD. I'm sure it would fly off the shelves. You would be DOOMED not to buy it.
this was an alright movie. I\'ll give it another rent. The coverart is pretty cool. Only thing is karl urbans face looks dumb and why did they put AND THE ROCK? Why cant they just put THE ROCK?
This movie was ruined in post-production. The editing and music were terrible. The FPS sequence lost any suspense it would have had by an awful Nu-Metal kind of song. The movie had some good ideas, and Pike is hot (though not as hot as in DOD), but it failed to impress me at all.
Since it's Unrated, I will give it a second chance and rent it, but I doubt I will change my mind.

I wish the MPAA would just lighten up. Nudity, the f-word, and blood just scare them far too much.
As for Doom, it was a video game based movie, nothing more. I might rent the unrated version, but other than the first-person shooting scenes, the movie was completely ridiculous, and it could have actually had a lot of potential if it hadn't taken itself seriously.

Actually, I like the cover.
The cover looks alright, but I doubt the movie will be anything higher than mediocre.
Ok Cover. This Movie was a big Flop!
i thought the movie was fun, and yeah it was even more fun looking at pike.
Is it just me? Does anyone else think this cover art looks cheap and tacky? As for the movie itself, I'll probably wait to see it on television.
This is by far one of the worst movies I saw all year. The cover looks like one of those straight to the shelves movies you would find at blockbuster.
I like the cover too, hope it stays.
This movie just arrived to theaters in Mexico, about 3 days ago, will see it soon. I'm sure I'll like it, I'm a fan of Doom and dumb fun action flicks

Well, you're at least going to get half of that.
