Before they become completely engulfed in Filkins’ reign of terror, they seek out some protection by placing an ad in Soldier of Fortune magazine. Their best response – and the cheapest – comes from Drillbit Taylor (Owen Wilson), a down-on-his luck soldier of fortune who lives a homeless – he likes to say “home-free” – existence on the beach. He enrolls them in some physical and mental training.

I have yet to utter those two elements in the same sentence.
I've never found him funny. Funny looking, maybe, but that's about it. He annoys the snot out of me. The only movies I own of his are Meet the Parents/Fockers, which THANKFULLY he is hardly seen or heard in both.
Kyle, you would probably have no taste in this. Did you ever see "Cars?" Owen Wilson was really good in "Cars."
Where's Horton, though? That may be true - I found him "okay" but then again he did not really act in it - if you get what I mean

Is this the movie Owen tried to kill himself to get out of?
I might rent it, maybe.

Some tweaks are needed to those speclists. One of the bullet points is "Making Of Featurettes" when the featurettes are listed in a separate bullet point. Of course, also the BD has everything in HD, it has the extended cut, and it also includes 6 extra deleted scenes.
Poor Owen. Money talks.
A few moments of somewhat humorous bits and lines apparently is what passes as a movie these days. Unless Owen teams up with Ben Stiller he's pretty much a dud. Face it Hollywood, this guy and his screwed up nose just can't carry a film all by themselves. The fact that he's been in good movies does not make Owen Wilson a good actor. I guess when you have a good agent that can prop you up with numbers and awards there are going to be schmucks who'll buy it and cast him whenever possible. I gotta meet his agent and bring a paper bag and then act my way out of it which Wilson cannot.

Who the hell is Don Sanchez, a famous Mexican critic?
Billy bob is all the same now and same with adam sandler. He's the same damn character in all his movies, also ice cube and martin lawrence
im just sick of Owen Wilson, he plays the same roll in every movie he makes...
besides that title reminded me "ANT BULLY" style...
and this movie couldnt be worse...

I agree. F**k Apatow, f**k Own Wilson, f**k 40YOV, f**k Superbad...., you get the point.

I didn't even know this had his theaters yet! Shows how far off my radar this film was... lol
Buy this and get a boot in your face!
I don't think the Unrated version will be that good. But I'll wait until prices go down.
Can we say "FLOP"?
I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. Maybe b/c i wasn't expecting much. It had problems, a tad too unrealistic and the kids were TOO nerdy at times but it had just enough laughs to keep me entertained. I might buy this, prolly has good replay value.
Apparently it's "HILARIOUS." Owen Wilson plays a bum? He plays that in every film he does...PASS.
This "Superbad for the tween set" was absolutely abysmal (and before anyone makes a smartass comment about the Seth Rogen connection: yes, I know he co-wrote this and yes, I know these characters, too, are loosely based on his own youth)...Sadly, the presence of Wilson alone - much like his buddy Stiller - no longer guarantees a good comedy. Personally, I'd like to see Owen get back in touch with his indie roots. The Darjeeling Limited is a step in the right direction (is Wes Anderson still considered indie? Depends on who you ask, I suppose). But hey, that's just me.
Might buy this. Was decent.
Hilarious and Owen Wilson do not go together nowadays
"Hilarious Extended Edition"?? As opposed to the "Laugh-Free Theatrical Cut" that I endured in March?

Hilarious Extended Edition? or Extended Survival Edition? Weird...
Is this a Steve Irwin biopic? :D
.. that banner isn't actually going to be there, is it?
Extended Survival Edition. Paramount is still going at the clever title edition thing. Too bad we didnt see a "Milkshake Edition" of There Will Be Blood
