Who can smell the title for the DTV sequel? "Drive Angry 2: Drive Angrier", or unless they want to go the other way: "Drive Happy" and turn it in a comedy starring Seann William Scott...
Errr. I can't STAND DTV sequels!!! They are so awful.

C'Mon Nicolas Cage. Enough c**py movies...if you have one more c**py movie to give us, give us NATIONAL TREASURE 3.
I'll probably blind buy this.
I'm quite an apologetic for Nicolas Cage. When he is right for a role, you can't get any better. Even when he's terrible I find him enormously entertaining. And Fichtner is awesome.

That's a good source, but considering this IS the internet where every lunatic (no offense) can spout whatever he/she wants I'm still gonna go ahead and agree with Wikipedia/IMDb.

Although both Wikipedia and IMDb aren't the most reliable of sources these days both of them report a estimated budget of $45-50 million, so unless you got a stronger source that claims different I'm gonna go ahead and agree with them.

It had the right idea but was never as fun or over the top as it should have been. The action scenes are poorly directed. I also liked shoot em up a lot but this one just missed the mark and the 3d was wasted
While I liked the movie, I can see how you think. "Piranha" and "Machete" had so many money shots, while "Drive Angry" had like one or two.
Yeh I guess I worded it wrong but I like movies that can sometimes make the most of their R rating. True Paul wasn't as tounge in cheek but I see what u mean. I recall tropic thunder and pineapple express, both really earned their R ratings but IMO better results. I just meant Paul as a similar case of a movie made by peop,e given enough freedom to make the movie they want but not living up to it's potential
I wouldn't necessarily categorize "Paul" with the other films. "Paul" is a funny movie that doesn't intend to be bad. It intends to be good. The others were so bad they were great!
Yeh an just like the movie Paul this weekend, I really wanted to like this but it just never let itself go and be crazy dumb fun.

The film looks terrible. Really like the artwork though, UK artwork is even better.

I love they're using the theater poster art

My first thoughts exactly, they omitted the lovely fact it had a $50 million budget.

i actually enjoyed this movie. it's a fun, silly action/horror-lite movie. Cage was actually decent in this (much to my surprised. i don't know why i just can't get into him). Amber Heard was great as was baddie Billy Burke. William Fichtner was awesome and the best thing in the movie (naturally. he's superb). and 2D was just fine with this. sorry but 3D is overrated and should be over with.
I wish Amber Heard liked men.
I agree with everyone else. Such a fun movie. Here's what I'd call a fun movie marathon:
#1- GRINDHOUSE (Blu-ray) Vivendi Entertainment edition
#2- MACHETE (Blu-ray)
#3- DRIVE ANGRY (3D Blu-ray)
#4- PIRANHA (3D Blu-ray)
Considering I have #1, #2, and #4, I might as well buy this one.

Saw it twice in theaters. SUCH A FUN MOVIE! It's completely nuts. Will be getting the 3D Blu.
Saw it 3 times, it's just a fun great film, a must buy to me, 2D of course, but even then.

i really wanted to see this, but missed it since it didnt last long. cant wait to check it out.
I love the fact that the promo proudly states "$12 million in domestic box office". What an accomplishment! But in all honesty, I really wanted to go see this movie but my local theater took it away before I got the chance to (probably due to that small $12 million gross). I'm definitely going to check it out on DVD.
Even though this is really bad, it was one hell of an entertaining flick. Where else can you see Nicolas Cage drinking out of a skull? May rent this.
