I missed this in theaters. I can't wait for the DVD.
i really hated this movie. bad performances all around, with a drab story. plus cameron crowe STILL thinks people give a s**t about the music he listens to.
THE MOVIE WAS AWESOME!!! The cover art blows and well, the special features don't scream out "SPECIAL COLLECTOR'S EDITION" to me. Still gonna buy it but all my favorite movies get c**p artwork and c**p features (except for the Garden State DVD which could have had more but really there wasn't much more to add). DAMN STUDIOS!!!!
Seems like a lame Garden State wannabe. Orlando Bloom looks really bland in it and Kirsten Dunst seems to be trying really hard to channel Natalie Portman's performance from Garden State. This doesn't even look as good as the dark comedy Eulogy and I'm sure it won't be.
I will rent this one but I'm not expecting much. I doubt I'll be pleasantly surprised either. It's not like its reviews would indicate that happening.
The cover art is actually pretty f-ing ugly and they should have just kept the theatrical poster for the art if they couldn't come up with something better.

Cameron Crowe is a terrific director but this one was a misfire. I's not a terrible film by any stretch, however, like Vanilla Sky it just doesn't live up to his previous work.
Cover is good it is just too bad that the film was bad. It did look rather good but when it was over I left feeling nothing. Orlando Bloom is dreadful in this movie, his American accent was dire. It was just a slow movie. The music was AWESOME though.
That cover art RULES, I love it. Almost Famous is one of my top 10 favourite movies of all time as well, BoBoi. I'm gutted that I didn't get the bootleg cut while it was still around. Bah!
cool artowrk but I wonder if there's a special edition in the works or this the version to get?

I like the film.
I don't like the artwork.
This is another example of where the theatrical art would have been better.

I don't usually care for cluttered artwork myself, but somehow it seems a little fitting for this movie....very sc**pbook-like, I dig it.....
My question is, I wonder if there will be a director's cut edition or some such...anyone heard anything in regards to this?? My first instinct in this day and age of the DVD double and triple-dip marketing campaign is that there probably will be, but then again, Vanilla Sky didn't get one (and consequebtly, that was a Paramount release as well)...

A Must Buy!
I love all Cameron Crowe's Film. Almost Famous is my favourite movie of all-time!

That cover is too cluttered, IMO. They should've chosen the poster art.
I never got to see this, but I love Kirsten Dunst, so I'll definately check it out.

For those of you who hate Orlando Bloom, let me personally tell you he is just great in this. A complete change from his usual stuff. And as for Kirsten Dunst, she is just a wonderful, quirky and adorable, ELIZABETHTOWN had a great cast and amazing performces all around!
I read the script a year ago and I had a bad feeling considering it was so sloppy especially for Cameron Crowe who is the best storyteller in hollywood. Apparently the script I read was a first draft and a lot was cut. I didn't see it in theaters so i'll get it on dvd. I heard it was another movie misunderstood by critics. I can't wait!!
I don't get the hatred towards this movie, and most critics seem to have plenty of it. I can't imagine anyone that likes Crowe's movies would be disappointed in this film. I really enjoyed it.
Like it would kill them to put Jessica Biel on the package?
Was this a Flop! If it was it will probably get a direct to video sequel.
It doesn't look amazing, but definitely not an awful film. I want to see it.
Maybe a rent.
I like that artwork, very original...although not so fond of the red bar, but the silver is good (unfortunately that's on the FullScreen edition). I still wish they had retained the original Kate/Orlando pic from the poster however. But very good artwork nonetheless - can't wait to see.
I may give this a look when it comes out, I like the artwork to.
I guess I was one of the few who liked this movie, but then again, I'm a Crowe fan, so it makes a little bit of sense. While it was weak compared to his other movies, it still turned out nicely (i.e. it could have been a lot worse).
Rental. Dunst is hot, you know...
Heard this was beyond horrible from many people. Normally I don't pay attention to critics but when that many people say this is c**p, you gotta wonder......
Crowe is THA MAN!!!

Very unique art and the film looks promising, since it's from Cameron Crowe. Plus, I'm seeing it just for Dunst, since she's my fave actress.
looks cute, I love orlando he's so adorable! but good valentines day flick that i'll buy! maybe a rent first though! But, seriously when they put Two thumps uP! by Ebert & Roeper does it really even mean anything anymore? I mean pretty much every movie has that on the cover! Like the art though! but actually, to think of it I really dont know the plot of the movie! Oh well, I\'ll still get it!
one of my favourite movies of the year, I was pleasantly surprised because i'm really not a fan of Orlando Bloom. Cameron Crowe is a genius director, I will definitely be picking this one up
ELIZABETHTOWN (2005)
