I heard only good things about this film. Definitely could be a nice idea for a rent. Sept 13 is too far away though.
I'm from Maine but I don't live near where it was filmed. I live in Augusta.
I saw the premiere on HBO and thought it was amazing. The film runs about 3hrs and 15 minutes and was shown in two parts. I watched it in one sitting when HBO played them back to back. The film is very poignant and it feels very much like a novel. I guess that's because the author of the novel also did the screenplay. You won't find yourself watching this over and over again because of the length but it's very well done. Amazing cinematography and very nice music. Highly reccomended.
Not a bad movie. Decent, and better than anything Ive seen in theaters in a while. Excellent cast, heartbreaking finale albeit confusing. Paul Newman's presence alone is worth watching this movie for.
