The first one had its moments, and I think most people would agree Steve Carrell had many of those. Happy enough to check this one out at some point.
I am lovin' that cover. Very good.
This film deserved to do way better than it did. It wasn't as good as Bruce ALMIGHTY but that doesn't mean it sucked. It deserved an audience. It's a good film with an INCREDIBLE message for everyone to hear. I think everyone should rent it once it comes out. It's worth it.
And here's a tip for UNIVERSAL: Release the DVD the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Seriously. You'll get more people to rent/buy/watch it that way. It's the kind of movie that you can watch with the whole family during Thanksgiving. Like in a Target or a Wal-Mart, mothers would be shopping and they'd see this DVD (and its excellent cover) and they'd instantly pick it up for a nice movie for the family to watch on Thanksgiving a little after the food's been served.

They rounded up for that ad.. it only made $96 million.. but I guess they're hoping it'll inch it to $100.
$100 million comedy hit? That's stretching the truth just a tad. I think they should put a blurb on the cover that says "One of the biggest financial failures of all time". That's what the site THE NUMBERS had to say.

Lol, this movie was so bad.
I like the cover. Its a shame that this was not near as good as the original with Carrey. I really wanted to like this sequel.
What??????????? This is still playing in theaters!
Cliched Almighty. So sick of these corny movies. Lots of films particulaly comedies are so bad these days. When will the end come when this kind of c**p stops being made?
Medicore film. A decent amount of laughs, but it relies WAY too much on physical humor.
the film was better than i thought it would be, not as good as bruce almighty

Yeah, so?
Yeah, so?
This was in and out of the theater so fast.It bombed.
This wasn't intended to be a sequel. It was a seperate script all together, but Universal decided that they would tie it in with Bruce Almighty to get people into the theaters. Guess that it didn't work. It didn't look funny at all.
Man, I still believe Steve Carrell has comedy on lockdown right now, but this is the first thing I've seen him in that I didn't think he knocked out of the park (not counting that ricockulous bit part in "Bewitched", a favor for his pal Will, no doubt)...and after what I saw of the teaser for "Get Smart", I have serious reservations about that flick as well...
This has one of those trailers that tells the entire story! And bare;y any of it looked amusing. A lot of Christian PR twaddle though I see.
The first film (one scene in the newsroom aside) showed everything worth watching in the trailer and this opne simply showed evrrything full stop in the trailer.
Which i supposed is better as it means I won't be suckered into spending money on it like I was with the first one.

It was an ok movie but forgettable, just like the original really.
4 billion star box office power! LOL
WOW. That was quick. Australia still hasn't seen this. It does not release till August or September.
Flop
That's c**ppy cover art. I heard this was lousy.
How good/bad is this, actually?
I feel so bad for Steve Carell and Morgan Freeman for being in this terrible movie
How come Universal doesn't release its films on Blu-Ray?
Blu-Ray's better than HDDVD. That's why I think Warner Bros. is the best, they also don't make many flop movies.

What I find laugh out loud funny is "$100 million comedy hit" and "$4 billion Box Office Star Power". Universal tried so hard to make this movie a hit, I bet the marketing budget alone was astronomical and it still was a complete failure. When will the studios ever learn never make a sequel to a Jim Carrey movie if you can't get him to come back. New Line already did that twice and look at the results there alone. Nonetheless I'll give this one a rental since I loved Bruce Almighty.
How does a comedy cost $175 million to make??
"HUGE LAUGHS!" - Pete Hammond, Maxim
This guy sucks!
I laughed maybe twice throughout the entire film.
It wasn't a full laugh, either. More like a lite chuckle.
Family Comedy. Emphasis on the word "Family".
I was lucky enough to see this in Hi-Def Digital projection & sound.
No need to see this again, even if wanted to build an ark.
Pete Hammond..., retire.

I really enjoyed this film. It was like old Disney fare from the 60's and 70's that we used to watch during the Wonderful World of Disney. Nothing wrong with that.
I didn't think it was all that bad. Sure it wasn't great and I wouldn't buy it (decent art btw) but I laughe. It's VERY family friendly.
My favorite review came from the Church Of Good Family Films when they said "this movie is as funny as cancer"
