This film looks too depressing for me.

As someone who works for CBS, I'd like to apologize for this! :-D. Actually, I don't work for CBS Pictures, but rather CBS Television City where we test new pilot shows. But I've had to endure seeing 4 different TV spots for this in our hallway since November!!! AND THEY WON'T STOP PLAYING THEM!!!
For the most part, this could've easily been a Hallmark Hall of Fame telemovie if Harrison Ford hadn't starred in it. Apparently this is only the 2nd time Harrison's received second billing since Return of the Jedi in 1983.

Honestly, I can't believe how Harrison Ford doesn't even try anymore.
yeah I thought Paramount would be destributing this since it's a CBS film.
Nope. Apparently Summer Redstone wants CBS Films to function as its own separate entity (hence why Paramount isn't releasing this movie on home video). CBS Films struck a deal with Sony Pictures last year to distribute their movies both internationally and on home video.
Interesting.

This got very pitiful reviews.
generic artwork
...for a very generic movie.
Its sad this is getting blasted. I didn't see it yet but I look forward to it. Is it generic? yeah. A bit over dramatic? maybe. But guess what else it is? A TRUE STORY. It is a drama film that is a sad true story about dying kids and a parent's struggle. So yes, its not going to be fun like "Avatar" or "Iron Man 2", but that doesn't mean its bad
Well, it's a A TRUE STORY with the notable exception that Harrison Ford's prominent lead character never existed and was created solely for the movie.
I did read about that and technically he was BASED ON a real person. Lots of true stories do that. In "A Beautiful Mind", John Nash has vivid hallucinations. In reality, he only heard voices. In "Catch Me if You Can", Abagnale meets with his father occasionally and does most of the stuff he does with the intention of reuniting his parents. In reality, he ran away from home and never saw his dad again. In Seabiscuit, the jockey has a fling with a hooker. He was actually married with kids. I could go on. I don't fault them for dramatizing something.
Funny how Harisson always has the same expression on his face on every poster/dvd cover, seriously.
I know, he should vary it. Do a Macauley Culkin Home Alone/eyes wide/double cheek slap kind of cover.
It's his face. He's in his 60's. That's what the dude looks like. This isn't a comedy.
"Harrison do serious face, wear blue shirt. Harrison run like c**p flow down trouser leg. Harrison take bath at box office". "Me sad for Harrison".
Why the native American impression, I've no idea.
