I just got the deluxe package pre-ordered at best buy for only 24.99, and I would have been stupid not to as when the sales over when it actually comes out it jumps up to 34.99 and the standard DVD is only 2 bucks cheaper at 22.99. I'm sure they will have some trilogy set, and I might double dip a standard DVD or special edition set of those because I'm sure they wont include all of the extras they did for this one for all 3 in a trilogy pack (like 3 shirts for each movie, so I will continue to buy these sets each movie).
Only thing that bothers me is the shirt included is XL, and I'm a small guy who wears med/sometimes small shirts, so that will kind of suck as I might not even begin to wear it. I don't understand why the "standard size" when a shirt is included in anything is XL, I mean I know Americans are huge but there are some of us small guys out there who enjoy Family Guy...

Hooley Dooley - A great set like this still doesn't make up for the terrible volume/season releases...
That looks awesome!!! :D :D
Stewie Untold Story was edited/broken up but it was used as the next season premier, chances are this will too for Vol. 7. I would never pay 20 bucks for a single episode of anyshow, I'll wait for the 5.99 mark down in a few months for the standard one...
The deluxe package looks freakin' sweet! Loved the episode, so I'll definitely be getting this!
I gotta give the Family Guy staff props for including Coach McGurk as a patron in the Cantina. Sweet.
I will get this.
I would like to pass word along to the powers that be (i.e. Fox Home Entertainment & Seth MacFarlane, etc.) I am looking forward to the Empire Strikes Back episode and precommit to buying it's big 'ol DVD with all the goodies as well.
THE REMAINING 4 MOVIES are a must. Please, please, please make them.
It was funny, I enjoyed it, so that is all that matters.
On another note, I would like to see 5 more SW: Robot Chickens, each one can end with (although it was the weakest bit) another parody 'on ice', like the last one.

They should've made Joe R2D2 with the wheelchair and all. Then Cleveland could've been Lando.
Not a Family Guy fan, but I did like most of this episode (even thougha few bits made me roll my eyes).
Lando

I'd go for Cleveland for Lando (rather obvious), Death for The Emperor (the robes...) and yeah, I'd be happy with the Chicken for Boba Fett seeing as neither of them are really major characters but they both kick ass! Joe would work well as Jabba seeing as how they both need aid to get around unless shuffling along on their arses.
Any other suggestions?
Clevland is already R2D2 though, thats why I didnt mention him as Lando. Death as Palpatine would work good. Lois's dad, Carter Pewterschmidt, would be a good Emperor too. I think the Chicken wearing the Boba costume would look so funny. Yellow hair poking out everywhere..lol..

also, if they're going to continue making star wars spoofs, wouldn't it be logical to wait until they're all released when there will inevitabily be a trilogy (i doubt the'll do all 6) box set.
Is this in the Season Six UK set?
As i didn't think R2 split them up in that funny way.
Also...how long is this episode?

It probably won't be included in the next boxset or any future one, like the Stewie Untold Story 3-parter is only available as the standalone movie.
seriously?
there's no way i will buy either version of this until i'm sure its not included in the next box set.
and if its not, i'll get the standard version.
wtf am i gonna do with family guy trading cards?

That's just ridiculous!
Stewie is the cooles!! Look at him in the Darth Vader costume!!
No interest in anything Family Guy after Season 3.

Stewie playing Young Anakin would be great!
ThisSpecial Edition is going to look great beside all of my Star Wars DVDs. Can't wait to pic it up! Loved it...but know I'm starting to think that if indeed they are going to do all 3 originals that some Super Special Edition DVD set of all 3 will come out... Bah...I cant wait that long.. this is a definate 1st day buy for me.
Any predictions on who will play Boba Fett & Lando in the Empire Episode?
I know it sounds kinda silly but what about the CHICKEN for Boba?? He is Peter's arch nemesis.. or maybe even DEATH as Fett

actually you`ll have to wait for Vol. 7 ...........Vol. 6 will contain the second half of season 5 and Blue Harvest was the firt episode of season 6.
gotta love how retarded they were by splitting the seasons on dvd like this.....go fox. lol
Jas wrote: So how long is this episode by the way?
its listed as 48mins on some sites, a normal one hour show is usually 42mins give or take when on dvd so this explains their 6 minutes of extra footage listing.

tempted but Family Guy has been a bit rubbish lately.
bad effin A!

Man, this was so freakin' hilarious...I'm so buying this!
Wow! That special edition set looks really cool. I might dish out the extra moolah for it.
LOL, talk about creative especially with the trading cards that look like the ones released in 1977, yeah I think I'll have to splurge on the special edition, my fandom for both Star Wars and Family Guy demands it.
It was friggin' hilarious
And they are in pre-development for Empire Strikes Back this was so popular!

I thought it was fairly unfunny and disappointing overall. Like someone said, too many lines and situations were verbatim out of Star Wars and overall it was just 'meh'. The funniest part wasn't even really a Star Wars moment--it was right at the end when Chris points out to Peter that Robot Chicken beat Family Guy to the punch on doing a Star Wars parody episode.

Yeah, that and the Simpsons.
I've never understood the attraction and fandom that these silly animated shows get.

This was slightly funny, the Robot Chicken star wars episode was hillarious. Releasing this is a new low for Family Guy, Seth McFarland is working his way to being the official biggest sellout ever.
Lame!
Wow, didn't see this coming....

"Robot Chicken" is the bomb.

Yet you took the time to reply..

If only only it were good enough to deserve such an elaborate release. It was more or less Family Guy characters speaking original Star Wars dialogue verbatim, with a few exceptions. I liked it okay, but it was something they could've easily sandwiched into a normal 30 minute show.
I agree that Robot Chicken's take was better (though it was more or less a highlight show of SW bits).

This was pretty hit and miss, just like everything on Family Guy lately.
Loved the Chevy Chase cameo.
The Robot Chicken Special re-used a few skits, and some of them weren't that great (the George Bush one being an example of both these problems). However that episode was great, and it was better because it wasn't just 11 minutes long like the rest of them.

So piss-poor quality and having to see it on a tiny screen is better than a clean view on your TV?
Just about anything can be found on YouTube, so if you spend $40 on a season set of whatever show, and they're on YouTube, you have something wrong with you?
Oh, and find me a working version of this episode on YouTube.

I personally enjoyed Robot Chicken's Star Wars parody better.

YES, YES, YES!
This was probably THE BEST Family Guy episode and Star Wars parady EVER! This send up is hilarious. This box set is a MUST. I cannot wait to add this to the collection and erase the episode off my DVR. It's only been viewed about a dozen times.

Alright, this looks really awesome and I really want to get it (loving the episode and all), but how long until the inevitible Trilogy Box set, and then the "Saga" collection if they do the Prequels?
Sometimes, I really hate the DVD and what its done to the world...

I love Family Guy and Star Wars, so it's no surprise that I loved this special. That special edition set looks great and I can't wait to get my hands on it. It almost makes up for Volume 5 not being complete.
This looks like a whole lot of fun for a single episode... I likey...
