Disney UK are a bunch of idiots. Instead of just giving us the US releases, they're treating us to:
- 2-disk BR of Fantasia and F-2000, without the DVD copies or any Blu-ray Live functionality, meaning less bonus material
- Blu-ray of just Fantasia with a bonus DVD copy, in Blu-ray packaging
- DVD of just Fantasia with a bonus Blu-ray copy, in DVD packaging
I mean, what the hell? Two of the releases ARE EXACTLY THE SAME just in different cases.
And there's no real reason for why either - Toy Story 3 is getting an identical release.

It's only £1 more for the double pack, might as well get both! :D
I would love a third Fantasia. It could be one of those rare occurrences where shelling out extra for IMAX 3D would be beyond worth it.
And it's not like there aren't classical pieces out there they couldn't do. The Thieving Magpie would be ideal, no? Even more contemporary stuff. I'd love to see what they could do with Tubular Bells.

Yeah I am disappointed but this is better than nothing.
I hope Disney... and maybe Pixar with 'em have the idea floating in their heads for a third one. Hell if Disney, Pixar and even get Studio Ghibli/ Miyzaki in on it a third one could be epic.

It was... I'm not gonna lie, I'm extremely disappointed with what we seem to be getting, after having been looking forward to this release since I saw the trailer earlier this year (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCHd5C5ADRg).

I'll wait for just Fantasia.
Ill wait for the trilogy pack.. when disney makes Fantasia 3000 in 3D, lol... (come on a 3D fantasia will happen...)
Not interested in these, but I'm happy for fans of this for such a packed Blu-Ray release. But I have a feeling that The Sorceror's Apprentince will come out that day too seeing as it was based off one of the Fantastia shorts.
I was all about the original Fantasia when I was little. Gotta pick it up.
Can't wait! Fantasia and Beauty and the Beast are the only two Disney classics I don't own but soon I'll have them both!
Originally I thought this was going to be apart of their Platinum or Diamond collections.
Love the art too.

So they cut all the features from the original sets, aside from the commentaries?
Really gotta release the original Fantasia seperately
Sweet!
I really dig that cover!
Well if walt Disney says it's a classic I guess I should get it. Glad they put that quote on the cover or I wouldve skipped this for sure!
In the UK, Fantasia is coming out seperately, but 2000 is only available in the boxset.
I think I'm just getting Fantasia so I can keep my Disney collection organized.

considering the original is now considered one of their classics, surprised this thing isn't loaded with extra features. though gotta love the quote on the cover is from Walt himself...thats pretty funny. lol
