Disney started the packaging gimmick with their Diamond Editions. It is kind of silly, I admit, but in fairness I've never seen them priced differently in stores. The only time it ever bugs me is when a store only has the DVD case packaging so it won't match my Blu-rays on the shelf.
Okay, okay, am I the only one who finds the packing for DVD + Blu-ray and Blu-ray + DVD f**king ridiculous? It's the EXACT same thing! Just different box colors. Are they gonna do this with every movie coming out in the future? The person or company who thought of this must be retarded as hell. Just goes to show how dumb this generation is. I'll bet you the Blu-ray packaging is going to be like $10 more than the DVD with the Blu-ray even though it's basically the same thing. People need to think this though before releasing these dumb ideas.
Anyways, back to the movie and coverart. I don't know about you guys, but I though this movie was great! The others? Not so much. Yeah, they were okay, but this one just felt fresher than the other Fast and the Furious movies. One of the most entertaining movies of the year so far. In my opinion, it isn't a Fast and the Furious movie without Vin Diesel. And MAN! Casting The Rock into this movie had to be the greatest decisions the series has made. Vin Diesel and The Rock beating the living hell out of each other; what more do you want?! But seriously, the movie was incredibly entertaining. Maybe not one of the best, but you'll enjoy it anyway. The cover isn't as great as the film. It looks sloppy with too many characters moved around. I WILL be getting this on Blu-ray. The cheapest packaging because this whole packaging thing is ridiculous.

I love these movies and this comes in second as the best for me. I loved the second one. Last I heard they were already working on 6.
Since this is Universal better not be a freaking flipper bluray.

WOWWW!!! They still put extended versions and other special features onf DVDS????
OMG!!!!! I didn't know they did that, let alone knew HOW anymore! The DVD company isn't dead after all! Unbelievable. Universal puts stuff on the DVD and doesn't try forcing BLU-RAY on all its consumers.

So this artwork wont match up to the prevous sets.

That is really, really bad artwork. Maybe if I just look above everyone's waist.

They certainly wont kill the series. Not with how much this one made and since it was the best one. And it was awesome.

Am I the only one that found this movie outrageously overrated? I thought it was a decent movie but that's it. I didn't think it was some mind-blowing experience or one of the summer's bests. It was just an average action movie that just happened to be so critically acclaimed. I usually side with the critics, but my god, this and "Rango" have to be the most overrated movies of this year.
Well, most studios now are going to do the DVD + Blu-Ray Combos and the Blu-Ray + DVD Combos now - not just Disney. Anyway, didn't see the others, so I'll likely pass on this one.

One of the combos is in Blu-ray packaging, the other is in standard DVD packaging--other than that they are identical.

As much as I support dogs participating in human activities such as basketball and skateboarding, I really don't think it's a great idea to let them design DVD artwork.

This wasn't bad, not as good as I was expecting but decent. A lot better than parts 3 and 4. It was kinda confusing, I do think it's enough of these movies. What else can they do? Are they going the Disney route with doing DVD cases with blurays now?
