In yesterday from the folks at Magna Pacific was the announcement for Festival Express, a rock documentary which has earned rave reviews from around the globe. A 1970 chartered concert tour featuring the likes of Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead was filmed in its entirety as the performers lived and partied together for five days, stopping to perform at major cities along the way.
With the footage now recovered and several participants interviewed retrospectively, the documentary covers both the past and present personalities in great detail. Accompanying the disc is a DTS soundtrack which is sure to please audiophiles everywhere, as well as a Train Hopping feature which allows viewers to play the music uninterrupted from start to finish.
