Break the Curse!
Breaking the curse is exactly what Ms. Barrymore did with this one. It's the first of her films I have enjoyed since... well... E.T.

Actually, Farrelly brothers had to rewrite the ending b/c the Red Sox won before the filming was completed. Ms. Barrymore's participation had nothing to do with breaking the curse.
That's according to EW.
As for the movie itself, I missed this one at the theater. It looks interesting, though. So I'll probably check it out.

Everyone associated with this movie needs to be shot for jumping on the field during the World Series win and ruining an historical moment in baseball

did not see this, i do like like most of the F. Bros movies, Something About Marry, Stuck on You, and Dumb and Dumber are some of the best comedies in the last 10 years, so i will give this a chance

I really wanted to see this. I love Drew Barrymore, CHARLIE'S ANGLES and 50 FIRST DATES were so good, I will probably rent this if not buy it.
this movie was really good!! they made fun of our yankees so bad! but it was funny

i'm a sox fan and a drew fan so i loved it. not a typical farrelly brothers movie though.

I'd only bother to watch this had Adam sandler been cast instead of that Fallon guy.As it is, i've seen the original and it wasn't that great, and that was about a sport that i LOVE.I'm not exactly clued up about baseball.

I don't know if they actually shot the original ending to the film, but if they did i REALLY want to see it. i saw this movie twice in theaters because i am a big Red Sox fan. F@#k the yankees!
So I saw the film now and I'd give it a 7/10. It was funny, clever, and was awesome to see all what they did with the footage at their disposal but I felt the ending ruined what the whole film was working hard to establish: a smart, mature comedy.
Fallone was much better in this one and Barrymore's pretty good, but I hope that's an optional cover. It's just too bare.
Still, I'm a Jays and Sox fan but I'll buy this one when it hits $6.99 at Blockbuster, months and months later.

Adam Sandler wannabe and most annoying woman in Hollywood star in yet another dime a dozen romantic comedy. Sounds appealing!

That is one weird looking cover, but since its completly different I kinda like it. Though its probably just a slip sleave and the real cover is underneath, just like Fox did with Predator 2: Collector's Edition, or mabey not!
