about time,i work in a video store and get asked this a million times daily...see if this date gets moved too again
I wonder what all the fuss is about. The preview was OK, but I have to wait and see.
woohoo at last
If you are a fan of Final Fantasy VII the game....or Final Fantasy in general, you would know why it is a big deal. You wouldn't have to ask.
Final Fantasy VII is the most popular Final Fantasy out there, not to mention the games themselves being Square/Enix's biggest money making game franchise ever.

WOW! FINALLY! I was one of those people who already saw it.......anywho, it was amazing. I'll definately be getting this one.
I have the first Final Fantasy film, so I guess I'll pick this up too for hell's sake.
My friend and I have been waiting for this for a long time so I'm happy to be finally getting my hands on it (unless they delay it again). I was actually hoping that it would get that limited theatrical release here in the states, but guess not. The artwork is cool, but there doesn't seem to be that many special features for a 2 Disc Special Edition.
'Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII featurette' I hope this is something for people like me who didn't play the game (don't like RPGs, nor do I have the patience) but think the movie looks awesome...a nice little recap of the story of the game to get us up to speed...
hmmm, never saw this one. Is it all CGI like the first Final Fantasy movie: the spirts within?
Yes it is a CGI movie....but with the Final Fantasy VII characters.
Only thing, I wish Shiva was in it.

O FINALLY! ...they better not change the release date AGAIN! Wasn't this originaly supposed to be in te states in like...last September?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!??!
It's only been forever since it's been announced, so this ought to be worth buying. Looks to be a must own for any FF fan. I really think they should have cut their losses with Spirit Within and released AC in theatres.
Awesome. I heard this movie was really good.
If you're going to pick it up, make sure to play through Final Fantasy VII first. If you're not intimately familiar with its story, you're going to get lost.
oh god I hope this is an official, final release date.
I saw a subbed version of this and it's pretty spectacular. It's pretty thin on plot and has poor dialogue but hey the actions scenes are great, the Soundtrack amazing and the animation superb!
HELL YES!!! FINALLY!!!!
As a non FF fan, I have to say that this was a pretty entertaining film, and though it made no sense to me, the action scenes were spectacular.
Highres artwork added...
Awesome.....can't wait for it.
I need to see this one.
aww man, they change the cover, hope they use the original poster shot for the cover, defenitely getting this!
I am one of the few people left who hasn't downloaded it or imported it, so I will be definately picking this up. I waited long enough, and the wait paid off. Love the artwork as well.
I.....HATE.....FINAL FANTASY. I don't have the patience to play, but I sometimes sit for HOURS as one of my dumb a** friends plays through it while we decide what we wanna do...This, however, does look good, and I will check it out when it's released. I saw the trailer for this on X-Play when it was announced it was being released in Japan last March, I think it was.
I have a demo of Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation, and that's as much as I've played of the game franchise. I liked watching the cinema scenes rather than actually playing the game (I will not launch into my tangent about HATING the FF RPG style, so be thankful, LOL). Spirits Within was STUNNING visually, but everything else fell flat.

The Spirits Within had NOTHING to do with the Final Fantasy games at all...with exception to the Life Stream.
I have never really played Final Fantasy that much. As you said, I just mainly sit and look around on the computer while my friend plays it. He loves it and watching him play it for several years now, has given me an appreciation of the games. I have come to really enjoy the characters and summons (Avatars, Aeons, etc.) and really look forward to this coming out.
But the games themselves are awesome. I feel as if I have played them by watching him for so long.

Ugh, so lame. RPGs are stupid and boring.
thanks for that valuable input.
i wonder if the English dub will have correct synching. probably not, since it would have to be a different version of the film.

So glad someone agrees with me in this twisted world of ours, LOL.
And you're right, Patrick, Spirits Within has nothing to do with the games at all. In fact, none of the games have a direct link to each other, except for 10 and 10-2, which are the only two my friend plays ALL THE TIME whenever he comes home from college...

I broke down and seen a dubbed version of this film, and loved it! My only complaint, which really isnt justified due to the very poor translation, is that it relies on FFVII lore too much to advance the story. I love the games myself so I had no problem fallowing, but for a person who has never played FFVII at all my be a little lost. The action scenes were spactacular and the animation was beautiful, the soundtrack wowed me, even if it is mostly FFVII stdk remixed. You really cant compare FF: TSW to this. That movie to me was square trying to make animation as freaking real as possible and sacrificed every other element of what makes a movie good.
I will be picking this up on release day!
