Genius Products will release a two-disc ultimate edition of Flash Point on 22nd April 2008 via their Dragon Dynasty label. Directed by Wilson Yip and starring Donnie Yen, this recent Hong Kong action flick "follows an intense detective who after years of painstaking pursuit closes in on his archenemies, a merciless gang of three brothers. With the arrest of one of the brothers, witnesses suddenly start dying and evidence is destroyed. When his undercover partner is exposed and becomes a target, he goes after the brothers directly – no holds barred."

Special features will encompass: three deleted scenes, a behind-the-scenes gallery ("Collateral Damage: The Making of Flash Point", "Flash Point Explored" and "Perpetual Motion"), "The Ultimate Fighters" ("Gladiators" and "M.M.A. on Display"), Promotional Gallery ("On Dangerous Ground: An Exclusive Interview With Leading Man and Action Director Donnie Yen", "Gala Premiere" and "Trailers, Teasers, TV Spots") and the ubiquitous Bey Logan commentary. Flash Point runs for 88 minutes in an 'R' rated widescreen presentation with audio tracks available in: Cantonese Dolby Digital 5.1, Cantonese DTS and English Dolby Digital 5.1. Subtitles support Spanish and English.

I hear it's not as good as Sha Po Lang (Kill Zone) as most of the fights happen during the last 20 minutes. I hear they're very good but otherwise it's a bit pants.

This is already out on UK 2 Disc SE by CineAsia (Showbox) but this R1 DD will easily beat it with DTS and the Bey Logan Commentary.

Me I'll be picking up the HK Region Free Blu-ray.

i hope this one has a tragic subplot where Donnie Yen hangs out with a kid that he literally punched into retardedness to relieve his guilt, like there was in Sha Po Lang.

if it does, i'll buy eight copies immediately.
