Very dissapointing IMO. All the action in the trailer was basically at the end.
It's complete nonsense at times too, the Chicken Delivery scene highlights how different our cultures are.

This lack of action until the end seems to be happening more and more and more with HK cinema. Why?
They never used to be like this.
They were masters of peppering the entire running length of a film with action.
Imagine John Woo's HK films with no action until the last 25 minutes?
Is this some self defeating exercise in 'maturity'?
Well any action film that is only 20 minutes away from ending before it gets going holds no interest for me.

Scanbox seem to be putting out some solid HK releases lately, maybe trying to step into HKL shoes.
Better cover art than R1 Dragon Dynasty IMO. DD's will most definitely have better extras though.

Not a patch on SPL in my opinion, however the final battle is on par with the Donnie Yen vs Jacky Wu fight from SPL, maybe even better.
Colin Chou (Seraph from Matrix 2 & 3) is a brilliant baddie as well.
Oh please, Flash Point walks up and down SPL's narrow ass!! I've just received the HK Blu-ray of Flash Point and it's stunning. Scanbox's other releases have been extremely dodgy, it doesn't bode well unless it's a straight port of the double HK dvd. minus the Dts track.

Can someone who has bought this version of the film (released 31st March 2008) please tell me:
a) Is it true the subtitles cannot be turned off
b) There is no english language, only two cantonese tracks
The Hong Kong version (from yesasia for example) says it's region 3? Is this a mistake as I read somewhere it's region 0?
