New Line Home Entertainment have kindly provided us with an exclusive first look at the artwork for the region one release of Freddy Vs Jason which stars Robert Englund and Ken Kirzinger. I can tell you that the audio on this disc will be 5.1 and 6.1 surround courtesy of Mi-Casa Studio's.
Care to elaborate what sort of 6.1 we get with this disc? DTS or not?
It will be DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 Surround Sound.

Isn't DTS ES Discrete the only 'true' 6.1 sound format on DVD anyway? The others, Dolby EX and DTS ES are 5.1.

I think it will have Spanish subtitles. Also, there will be a Spanish version of the VHS version. Who knows it all depends what the international versions will have.
Added: I recently bought Willard on DVD and it has the Spanish Subtitles on it so, hopefully, the 4 upcoming New Line Home Entertainment's DVDs (1. The Lord of The Rings The Two Towers Extended Version, 2. Dumb and Dumberer When Harry Met Lloyd, 3. How To Deal and Freddy vs. Jason all under the New Line Platinum Series Set) will have the Spanish Subtitles.

I really want to watch this film!
Freddy vs. Jason made over 80 million $ in the US but it is horror so Austrian distributors didn't put in cinemas (at least I think that that's the reason). Well it's their loss as I'll make sure to import the US DVD! The great cover artwork makes my decision to buy it even easier!
Freddy vs Jason will have Closed Caption for DVD?
Hey,
I am wondering. Freddy vs Jason will have Closed Caption on DVD?
Just let me know, please.
Thanks,
Mark

Yes, it will have Closed Caption just go to this link ";s=1&c=2660&n=1&burl=", "; or " (New Line Cinema's Movie Publicity Web Site)". Also, for those wanting to know about the Spanish Subtitles you should try using your DVD Players Menu so that the Spanish Subtitles will show up. Another way is by having the INFO Bar show up, then go to the subtitles part of it and selecting "SPA" or your DVD Players abbreviation for Spanish.
