Excellent film - strange the delay on the 3D release...

Totally agree with you. I think its even better than the last 3 Pixar movies.
Non-Pixar Disney movies are doing way better now. First Tangled, then Wreck-It and now this. Simply loved it!

BIGPotterFan, I couldn't agree more!
Frozen was pretty good. But Monsters U was better in my opinion, both in terms of story and visuals. The thing about MU was that it doesn't feel for a second like a kids movie. Frozen, although a fun for both kids and adults, just has instances that are clearly meant for kids (but along with stuff that adults will laugh at as well). MU was just more sleeker in that sense, where there was nothing that reminded me it was a kids movie.
And how stupid is it that MU doesn't get an Oscar nod but The Croods does?

That's fine... I just find it annoying. Disney's been doing it more often -- first with their Marvel acquisitions, then it was Pixar, and now this. I'm not a fan of overly long credits either.

I have the exact opposite reaction. When it's a tiny gag like it was in Frozen, it feels more like a "thank you" for sitting through the credits because, technical or not, these are the folks who helped bring the movie to the screen. I think it's nice.

I'm the only person that hated it. I was so bored with the first half and semi enjoyed the last half.
mc_serenity, check out http://aftercredits.com/ - i check this before every movie to see if there's anything after. Of course, I don't click on the "See what's after the credits" link, because i'm very anti-spoilers - but at least you'll know if there's something after.
Great movie. But I'm sick of studios putting these post-credits stingers on every other film they make. They used to be a rare and fun treat, but studios are abusing that now.

its been out since November 27th and has just recently climbed back to #1 (i think for the 2nd time but i could be wrong there) and made over 20 million dollars that weekend. not many movies make that much so many weeks later, its definitely a mega hit, especially when it comes to disney's recent releases.

I really need to see this before its out of theaters

Great movie and I will definitely be picking it up. The most disappointing aspect of both the DVD and Bluray are that they include the "demi levato" version of "let it go". It just seems like they are pushing their Disney channel "stars" on everyone, and it makes even less sense this time around. They hired a seasoned broadway actress (menzel) to play a role shes pretty much played before in wicked and she puts on a great performance only to, for lack of better word, spam youtube and now the DVD with an empty and auto-tuned version done by someone who will be forgotten in under a year's time.
International gross of $645 million and counting. 7th highest grossing animated film in the US (not taking inflation into account). The Lion King is the only one of Disney's cartoons that has made more money (again, without inflation).
I knew it was a hit but a megahit really?
Absolutely adored this film. Saw it 4 times and I still can't get enough.
