The Transfer Sky are using in HD is pretty good, will pick it up
Get in.
Love this flick. Will pick up for sure!
Hopefully they'll retain the varying aspect ratios for the first twenty minutes or so.
I saw that movie in Science class during my sophmore year. I was taking Earth Science and the teacher thought this would be a good movie to make everyone laugh. Will watch it again, hopefully.

I hope so too.

Shamefully never bought this on dvd. May have to grab this edition.
Aspect schmaspect. No deal in ANY futher format or editions (I've got the DTS)until I get the uncensored movie I saw in the theaters. I don't know whether the movie was generally released uncut or I was lucky enogh to witness a renegade print but I'm telling you, the humor suffers mightily in comparison with the re-dubs and the cut scene of Sam Rockwell and Tony Shalhob having a weed smoke out session with the aliens.
WHOO HOO! Been waiting for this announcement FOREVER. I haven't seen this movie in years. I remember getting the VHS for my birthday. I'm so getting this on release day...
While on the subject of Paramount titles, what happened to Stardust? Still (eagerly) awaiting news on that release.

Definite buy. Love this movie.
"Well, F*CK that!"
Scene cracks me up every damn time.

Artwork added...
Prefer the UK DVD artwork. This seems a bit cluttered.
Don't really care though, definitely upgrading this one to Blu-ray, regardless of the artwork they give it over here.

beautiful. will miss the dts track though.
How hard would it be to flip that top image so the names actually correlate with the actors they're next to?

while its true that in this particular case, flipping the image would actually have been easy but the names have nothing to do with the images. the names are always in the order of the "celebrity status". so it goes from the bigger star to smaller.
of course i take it there's sexism involved because maybe its just me but i think Sigourney is a bigger name than Tim. sure she may not have had as many hits but she's been around and established much longer. but yeah it seems the males always get top billing regardless of the status.
gotta love hollywood.

This will be beaming its way into my collection for sure, great movie. Sam Rockwell ROCKS!!!
that's better artwork then the new DVD artwork for "Galaxy Quest".
I would rather get "Star Trek" instead. I'll eventually watch this movie again though.
A pretty good release - worth the pick up.
And I want my Stardust too!

I really hope they release a version without 'screw' dubbed over Sigourney's actual line. It's painfully obvious.
That would be nice, but regarding the artwork the original art from when it was just released in the States i loved that.

in this age of unrated and extended or director's cuts, i'm surprised they didnt. sure it would just be 2 lines, well two WORDS changed but still...it would give them something extra to promote about it.

Getting this.
I'd get this if they had the On Location In Space and the short little clips that were on the previous dvd as easter eggs. There is no reason, especially now with blu-ray, for a new version of a movie to not have all the extras the previous versions did.
You just said yourself that they were Easter eggs. Maybe they will be on the disc.
Im sick of companies cutting films between theatrical release and DVD. I'm still wishing that the theatrical cuts of M:I-2 and Charlie's Angels will turn up uncut one day - the versions I saw in British cinemas were more violent than the eventual home video releases.
what has that to do with GQ GavSalked. That movie is not cut at all!

The fact that the theatrical cuts of those two movies were longer than the eventual home video releases - just like Galaxy Quest, obviously.
