That is one ugly-ass artwork.
Heard terrible, terrible things about that one. Pass.

Two words: Rick Rape.
Must say that I'm thinking about watching this film just because I want to how it looks on a LED-TV with blu-ray. Story could not care for anyone in it.

I'm glad you could convert to Blu-Ray, its great huh? Unfortunately, I'm not glad your first Blu-Ray title was Orphan.... you shoulda picked either a really good movie or a movie with an amazing transfer. No one wants a c**ppy movie with a mediocre transfer for their first disc!!!
First off Yankeescf04, the only reason your saying Orphan is c**ppy is because your easily manipulated and washed off by what your hearing from word of mouth, watch it for your self and then judge, its not as c**ppy as (for example, the movie in this post - Gamer), the trailer is misleading to the actual final film. The film itself is very well done, acted, and well crafted. Second, the Blu-ray transfer as well as the audio is very good, featuring natural colors as well as nice detail to its environment.
I agree with lee09. Orphan was a phenomenal movie and the only reason why you say it's terrible is because your borrowing what Matt and other reviewers have said on here. Not only that, but I also have Orphan on Blu-ray and the transfer and audio quality are superb. I can automatically tell you don't have the Blu-ray nor seen the film. The transfer is mediocre? The biggest lie I've ever heard. Even if the transfer and movie weren't good, that's the OP's decision which Blu-ray to buy. I got a feeling, Yankeescf04 you're a troll.
I never read a single review on this website for Orphan. I am not easily manipulated with film. I saw the movie in theaters, and it was god-awful. Apparently if you don't like a movie, everyone automatically assumes you haven't seen it. I don't enjoy watching two hours of feces, and that is why I didn't like Orphan. Don't sit there and tell me I haven't seen a movie. It's a terrible film, and quite frankly, I feel sorry for you if you feel it was phenomenal. I was just wondering why they bought a subpar movie as their first blu-ray purchase. There's plenty of better discs out there that show off high-def better than Orphan. I like how the OP gave me a legitimate response, but all you effin retards just hop on me in a second. Thank you Prozac, for your response. No sarcasm there. Lee and horrorfan need to chill the heck out.
On a completely different note, or rather, the note this topic is supposed to be on, the artwork for Gamer looks ugly as heck. It looks like its a 'straight-to-dvd' title, which maybe it should've been lol.

I maybe the only one who thinks that digital copies are cool, though I personally prefer it if the DVD was included instead, but do they need to put a digital copy sticker on the Blu-Ray.
"Unleash Him." Holy f**k, it is the end of the world!
Decent cover, though his face looks like he's taking a c**p.
Hmmmm...maybe...
Don't think it made ti to theatres down under...

Orphan better than Gamer? Guys, I work at a movie theater & saw both of these films. Orphan was good...at first, until the big plot twist. Then it just seemed to fall apart. I won't and don't deny the great performances that the orphan cast did but the story kinda got loose towards the end. If it was a little tighter, it would have been amazing.
As for gamer, it was AWESOME!! I have the official poster & Can't wait for the dvd!

Decent box art. Looks to generic though

Wahay, commentary with more than Neveldine and Taylor getting s**tfaced? Score, say what you will, I really enjoyed this film, fun as hell and silly enough to be great background fare, can't wait.
yep Orphan is a fantastic movie. One of the best in 2009. It borderlines a masterpiece. And the Blu has gotten rave reviews everywhere for its outstanding PQ and AQ

One of the worst films I saw this year.
Not sure what the 'The Evolution of Red' featurette is about. If it is about the Red Camera, then I might look into this.

only reason why i got orphan was cause i own over 400 dvd didn't wanna get a double copy of something i own, but i will say this with my tv i can only go to 1080i so the blu ray movies and regular dvd's look the same to me, audio might be a tad higher and i can see it slightly clearer would get a new tv but one i own is only 5 years old

I dont care what anyone else says..this film was bad ass. Served its purpose to a T.
This was a mediocre film, that I hoped would have had an unrated version that would improve it. I wanted to like the movie, but I couldn't. Michael C. Hall was the best part though, for sure!!

I have iffy feelings with Gerard Butler. Never saw this, but will Netflix it.
Awful movie. Beautifully shot but everyone else was just wasted. Gerald, why do you constantly make bad role decisions like this? You can do much better than accepting these generic action movie roles.
And Neveldine/Taylor need to stay the hell away from directing ever again.

I was forced to see this and
ended up being so good!
Michael C. Hall was great.
A must buy.
