I'll be picking this up. I don't know how this film was received by members here, but I always get bad feedback on this movie at other boards.
It's a little bloated and I think Scorsese may have been trying a little hard to make an 'Academy' classic....but I still enjoyed it.

I like Daniel Day Lewis' performance enough to pick it up. The opening sequence is sheer brilliance.
I really f**king hate that ugly font s**t at the bottom, couldn't they reduce the size a tad?
This should kick the s**t out of the reportedly poor EiV UK BD.
That's an ugly cover, their eyes all look like digital pools of glowy evil......ala 80's Thriller Video.
Specially Lewis'...great movie, out of the 'new' Scorsese works of the 2000s, the Departed is best, followed closely by Aviator and then Gangs...
Did not care for. Went with a buddy of mine, and from the point where the elephant ran across the road, we kept pleading with the movie to bring it back!
Wy do BluRay realeses have so ugly covers and cass.. it's so weird.
Jesus, you think people would know by now that this is standard Disney placeholder artwork. The banner won't be on the actual cover and the case will look normal.
where's the director's cut? the original cut ran an hour longer.
Buying this for sure!
