oh Garfield was "milked" MUCH worse back in the 80s....there was merchandise of every type in just about every store, he was huge...today the only place i ever see stuff is Hallmark/Joke type stores or Kids specialty stores like Miss Tiggywinkles and the like here in canada.

it LOOKS (I mean visually) better than the live action ones. By that I mean, Garfiled isn't the only cgi creature

its because the storyline has Garfield leaving the comic world and entering the "real world". Sorta like they did with the Fat Albert movie only this is all animated...so yeah it sorts defeats the purpose but still makes sense. lol
Im a huge fan so i'm gonna buy this anyway, i'm just wondering who did his voice and what he sounds like. One of the previous Garfield dvds had a quick teaser for this and he spoke like one line and sounded pretty close to Lorenzo Music so let's hope its that guy.
ok so i watched the trailer on the site and yeah the guy is trying to do lorenzo's voice, it sounds sorta off but watcha expect. i also noticed that Jon is a different voice, that surprised me.
woohoo look at me going edit crazy...anyway, watched a second trailer and it showed who voices Garfield, its none other than the cartoon voice god himself, Frank Welker. pretty impressive and now that i know its him, i do sorta hear it.

What really bugged me with the Live action films was that the dog (is it Odi?) was real while Garfield was CGI, it just didn't make any sense to me, especially since Garfield wasn't supposed to look real.
Saying this looks better then the live action ones is like saying you'd rather be punched in the left eye instead of the right one.
