Featuring the first 13 episodes, “Glee” Season 1: Road To Sectionals DVD will also include the Director’s cut of the pilot episode; exclusive behind-the-scenes featurettes; audition videos from the talented cast and the hit music topping the charts at iTunes such as cast versions of Queen’s “Somebody To Love,” Heart’s “Alone,” Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Céline Dion’s “Taking Chances,” Rihanna’s “Take A Bow,” Carrie Underwood’s “Last Name,” Jazmine Sullivan’s “Bust Your Windows,” Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” and REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling.”. What way do you mean? I noticed it says Season 1 Volume 1. Does that mean all episodes are gonna be broken up into separate DVDs rather than one full season DVD? If so...that's no good.

Hmm... I really wanted to see this, and when I get time I'll definitely watch it on Hulu. But the seasons being split up bothers me... they did that with Rescue Me as well, right? Clone Wars I can understand, even if I don't condone, trying to rape parents for money. These though?

No, there will be a full Season 1 DVD and BR released in May.
And people who buy this release (which only has the first 13 episodes) get a voucher that gives them a 50% discount off the May releases. So although you'll end up with two copies of the first 13 episodes, you're not being cheated on double-dip wise.
This release is so people who didn't watch the fall run of the series can catch up to date when the show comes back in March/April.
The production schedule of this show is pretty unique, they need to film episodes in blocks, like a movie. Also the show only has three writers, and they write all the scripts and organise the music BEFORE filming begins on any of the episodes.
It's quite likely FOX are going to order a second season after Christmas, so production can continue on throughout spring and summer, for a fall launch.
No, there will be a full Season 1 DVD and BR released in May.
And people who buy this release (which only has the first 13 episodes) get a voucher that gives them a 50% discount off the May releases. So although you'll end up with two copies of the first 13 episodes, you're not being cheated on double-dip wise.

Not sure on getting this. I want to get it but I do want the full release but I would be okay with volumes as long as the extras are the same. Maybe it'll be pay off to be patient.

This sucks in a way because I'll want to buy the complete season and will be tempted to buy this since I love the show. But I don't want to double dip later and then have both. Still, it's a good idea so people can catch up on it before the show returns.

Ugh...2 volumes? They just lost a customer...I'm not shelling out money on 2 separate occasions for one season of a TV show, especially when the second Volume consists of only 9 episodes. And I also hate just having 2 different box sets for one season. Glee is great though.
I've wanted to get into this show after that stellar pilot episode they aired during the summer. I will NetFlix this volume and will more than likely buy or ask for the Blu for my birthday.
