I stopped watching this after the first season, when I realized it wasn't going to live up to the cleverness or humor of its pilot episode.

Absolutely. The pilot was really great, and completely took me off guard. The first half of the season was pretty solid too. But then the show devolved into a generic sing-along and left all of it's wit, bite, and character behind. It's now pretty much unwatchable.
