Woot.
I would love to have this on Blu-ray! Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington, and Morgan Freeman all gave excellent performances!
Fantastic movie. Day one purchase for me. How this wasn't one of the five nominees back at the 1989 Academy Awards still boggles the mind.
I own the R1 Special Edition, but I'll upgrade if the picture quality is a substantial improvement. The DVD transfer on that one was pretty poor.
This is one of my top ten favorite films and I still don't own it. I'll grab it on BD for sure.
Never seen this. Will try and buy.
Great movie filled with great actors.
I just read a nice review up on this over at AVS forums by Ralph Potts whose the blu-disc guru on this subject matter. This may just persuade me to start saving up for a blu ray player.
I must have seen Glory well over hundred times since its first outing on VHS PAL around early 1990 the film took home three Oscars around early 1990 February.
I’ve owned several VHS PAL editions laserdisc and (DVD special edition that I still have). I’ve seen it on TV in the past and the image, hmm not too sure which version too chose?
What you really need is a 70mm print and bluray of Glory side by side for true evaluation. I mean it’s the only way to be sure, right?
