One of my all time favorites, but I probably won't double dip if its the same transfer as the old blu-ray. Guess I'll wait and see.

Dito! Plus, that bonus DVD disc (Public Enemies: the golden age of the gangster film) was already handed out with Warner's last 'Classic Gangsters' DVD set. It's got nothing to do with GoodFellas. Pehaps they should drop that "BONUS" DVD disc and lower the price. $30 plus for any disc is a rip-off and trying to make it look legit by adding in old warehouse clutter makes the rip-off all the more obvious.

Am I the only one who thinks Casino was better?
Absolutely love Goodfellas, and Casino. I have the 2 disc dvd but will wait for reviews until I decide to double dip. But personally I prefer The Departed, I just love the dialogue in it. Its one of my all time favourite films. To each his/her own of course.
I have this on HD-DVD. I also have a blu ray player. It looks like it only has a few new features, but i LOVE blu ray books AND if any place has this cheap and a free pass to shutter island, then i'm there. I had departed on blu ray and it didnt have a scene index so i got the HD-DVD. I love this, departed and casino but not sure what i like best. If pressed i'd pick this one prolly but all 3 are great films. I love that they kept the cover and i like the color with it as well. Interesting to see those cartoons
If this doesnt get a new transfer than I wont be rebuying. Im fine with my copu.
Am I the only one that thought the audio on the dvd was better than on the blu-ray? It was punchier. The gun shots sounded louder and heavier. And the thing is, they should've been the exact same track seeing as how the blu-ray didn't have a lossless audio. I don't get it. Hopefully this release will get an upgrade, but it doesn't look good.
I already have this on BD so pass.
Didn't really like this movie. Eh.
Might take a chance on this, since I still haven't gotten around to getting this on either DVD or Blu-ray.....

Did you volume match? 640Kbps Dolby is a lot better than 448Kbps.

This is without a doubt, one of the finest film ever made. I'll double dip if this new release has lossless audio.

...drool... ooh, yeah!
Honestly, this is a great film. Personally I prefer The Godfather 1 & 2.
I am getting sick of hearing about this film though.

I hate how they jack up the price on the book. It's a book for Christ sake!
i hate when the names never match the heads, though Pesci got his

I thought this was a bad deal when it was first announced because of the already used bonus disc. Now it turns out that the movie disc is also the very same disc previously released. The only thing new here is the BD Book. What on earth has happened to Warner Bros.?

Not sure about the double dip. Im fine with my copy.
Will have to finally add to my collection. Not a huge Goodfellas fan, but definitely not a bad film.

I don't understand the problem, as with the new release of "Coraline". If you already have the movie, you just won't get a few goodies (the book or the bonus disc you could get elsewhere). If you don't have it in your collection, it might be more attractive to you.
It would be a rip-off if you had to get the whole package to have a slightly better transfer or audio. As if, it's just a non-event.

How do you know it will be the same movie disc as before? Where has this been stated?
Most people have been assuming this new version will have lossless audio.

Pretty good film but it has been repeated on TV down under too many times...
Read it and weep!

As I said, a complete recycle of previous discs. Nothing new except the Book.
