Universal Home Video has announced DVD and Blu-ray releases of Greenberg for the 13th July. Extras will include 3 featurettes ("A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Greenberg", "Greenberg Loves Los Angeles", "Noah Baumbach Takes a Novel Approach"). The Blu-ray release will also include additional BD-Live features. We've attached the official package artwork below:

Synopsis

Quote: Roger Greenberg (Ben Stiller) is single, fortyish and deliberately doing nothing. In search of a place to restart his life, he agrees to house sit for his brother in LA and tries to reconnect with his former bandmate (Rhys Ifans) and ex-girlfriend (Jennifer Jason Leigh). But old friends aren't necessarily still best friends, and Greenberg soon finds himself forging a connection with his brother's personal assistant, Florence (Greta Gerwig). Despite his best attempts not to be drawn in, Greenberg comes to realize that he may at last have found a reason to be happy.

Just seen it, amazing, Stiller was brilliant, getting the right level of aggression and reluctance behind the normalities of social conduct, and Gerwig, magnificent. Hope it's region free, most Uni/focus ones are.

I either love Baumbach movies, or they annoy me greatly. Chances are with Ben Stiller in the lead playing a manchild, I will be annoyed by this one. I'll still give it a watch though, for Gerwig if nothing else.

It did in Austin, at least. I saw it, and really enjoyed it. Not enough to purchase, but it's good.

Um, would someone mind telling me why the spine is half Greenberg, half Love Happens?! PHOTOSHOP FAIL AT ITS BEST!!!!!!! Other than that, the cover is kinda decent. I wanted to see it but since it's an interesting worthwhile movie, it didn't get released around me. I'll rent it for sure.

Excited to see this film, I'll see it in the cinema any way possible, and hopefully it'll be good enough to import, the idea of a blu ray transfer of a Baumbach film, exciting.
