I loved Halloween 2, but, if all they're gonna do to the DC is add an unnecessary rape scene (such as the first one's DC, which is why I stuck with the standard dvd) then I'll most likely not get this on blu so that I can get the standard version.

I still don't know if I like this movie. It is one of the most screwed up movies I watched this year. To throw in my opinion, I like john Carpenter's original better than Zombie's remake and sequel (which go more for shock value than scares).

Actually, The Weinstein Company went back to independent distribution. MGM only has rights to the TWC films that they distributed together. After "Soul Men" (the last TWC movie to be distributed theatrically by MGM), they went back to being an self-distributor. I am entirely serious when I say that this is the most excruciatingly tedious film experience I have sat through in about five years. This is not a film, and it isn't merely a 'slasher'-- it's a series of random, brutal killings all filmed with the same detachment and complete lack of suspense.
It's not scary, nor 'fun' gory-- it's just completely demented.

I know it's about Michael Meyers and he's a psychopath, but even Zombie's 2007 remake didn't have deaths occur every ten minutes. Albeit, this did not detract from my overall view of the film. Can anyone confirm this for me? I promptly preordered both the Theatrical & Unrated versions at DVD Empire. They subsequently contacted me saying that the studio has decided not to release an Unrated version!!!???
