I was hoping for more footage of Dana Carvey.

I do not own any of the halloween series on blu ray, I just barely got them all on DVD.
That's the original 30 year old font. I'm pretty sure that the only change is the enxtended H and N.

the cover makes it look like its part of Zombie's version of the franchise. lol

Laurie isn't really as heroic as she should've been and Dr. Loomis here is even downright silly at some parts. So that I can see. However, the dull start? I thought the film was very engaging from beginning to end. A 7/10 for me. Well, I thank you for giving your points on why you didn't like the film. Opinions are always welcome and it's fun to debate what we like/dislike about the film.
Well, by first hour, there certainly are moments that work. Loomis is a fun kook during that time. But just about everything at the hospital pre-Laurie meeting Michael just moves at a snail's pace, you know?

Matt Thompson, i agree w/ you. even though i like this movie the 1st half a VERY boring. i'm not saying i need or want action and things happening every second, not at all, but this has nothing very interesting going on for the 1st half of it but again, i DO like the movie overall. and the alternate ending is nothing. it shows a close up of Laurie after she's been loaded into the ambulence and in the background Jimmy (Lance Guest) BLAM! sits up, Laurie kinda gasps and they look at each other. Laurie starts to cry and she says "we made it" and they hold hands. credits roll.
Matt Thompson wrote: It's quite dull for the first hour; none of the new characters are very likable, and Laurie's doped up and does nothing. Once Laurie finally wakes up the film improves. (Also, the family twist is downright stupid and retroactively hurts the original film.)
As sequels go, I'd rate it fourth out of the seven.

Just curious as to why you didn't like it. I'm very picky when it comes to sequels and found this one not to be just good, but great. I thought it really did the original justice.

Oh, well - so much for the supposed wealth of supplimentary material that is out there. Jesus, they're putting Terror in the Aisles with it? It has some truly toe-curling moments with poor old Donald Pleasance and Nancy Allen, both of who look profoundly embarrassed. One line from Pleasance in the thing sums up the whole enterprise...
"That WAS shocking... wasn't it?"

I still liked moments in the 4th and 5th ones, they had that old school horror feel that u dont get any more. The 6th one is flawed but was edited and changed a lot, I'd love to see an official release of the producers cut cone out one day, a good quality release not the bootleg one floating around eBay.

i love RZ's HALLOWEEN entries. i also love the original HALLOWEEN and HALLOWEEN II and to a certain extent HALLOWEEN III. all the other HALLOWEEN movies (not including H20 which had some decent moments) are god awful. you can hate Zombie's movies all you want but they are still better in every way than the kung fu/Tyra Banks/rapper RESURRECTION. bottom line.

I agree, this was my favorite "Halloween" sequel. It sticks to the original, but brings new elements to the table as well. It's still mind-boggling to see this film with a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes. And I usually agree with every RT rating. In all realism, a high 50's-low 60's would be more appropriate. And yes, it's MUCH better than Zombie's junk. I will snag the Blu-ray when it hits 5-10 bucks.

the cover reminds me of the SILENT HILL dvd cover.
