This is a must own. I own HALLOWEEN 25 ANNIVERSARY EDITION as well as THE EXTENDED CUT on dvd. I also own HALLOWEEN 4 & 5 and 25 YEARS OF TERROR.I even own HALLOWEEN on Blu-Ray.
So you ask why buy it if you own everything in the set? I want the mask!!!!

ok. i got all the halloween movies,
Halloween 25th anniversary edition
Halloween II
Halloween III
Halloween 4 & 5
Halloween 6
Halloween H20
Halloween: Resurrection
Rob Zombie's Halloween (2-discs)
and
Halloween: 25 years of terror
and i already own the mask for last Halloween for 50 bucks...
so, i dont know about this, looks good, and im a huge fan of the series and Michael Myers...
and i guess this should be coming out around October, when Rob Zombie's Halloween 3-discs Extended whatever edition comes out same month...
let's hope if they get a lot of money out of this, they can make another Halloween movie... buy all the franchise...
so they can make another one...

That mask is mine, b***h!
I might get it just for the cool mask and the OOP Extended Edition, which I don't have. All in all though, seems a little unnecessary. I have the 25 Years doc already, as well as the latest Divimax editions of 4 and 5.
I really hope the Blu Ray comes in it's own blu ray case and not just part of a foldout or something. I gotta keep it with my other blu rays!

I also have the individual releases of the above mentioned. But the mask is a great collectable to have. It's to bad that Anchor Bay did not get the rights to re-release the television version of Halloween II or even better the long gestated R1 release of H6-The Producer's Cut.
PS. I think Dimension is mooting a follow-up to Zombie's version, but I don't think Zombie will be involved.

I guess I'll be getting this, I got the re-release last year but it came with a free ticket to see Zombie's remake so I basically got it for free anyway.
This is a perfect set. I don't have any of the films and I don't have the mask. Genius. Although $89.97 is way too much.
And my hope for a proper Blu-ray release goes out the window for another year. Hopefully they're using this set as a way to liquidate their current Blu-ray release inventory to make way for one that uses the correct master and isn't DNR'ed to death.
Check out Dvd Pacific. It is up for preorder @ $55.86 releasing October 7th
What a mess of a release this is! I wouldn't buy this even if I didn't own the movie. The original Anchor Bay Limited 2-disc Edition is still tops.
Hmm that mask doesn't look right.
I completely agree. anchor bay can do way better than this. especially with a classic horror franchise, you think they would put a little more effort into it and include every film in the series.
this is a def. skip for me.
shame.

I'll pass on this.
already got all the films. dont need a cheap mask. and i've heard the "extended" television cut is a waste of time. is the second disc from the 25th aniversary edition included? color me extremely unimpressed. the next halloween related purchase I make will be the producers cut of #6, if it ever sees the light of day.
Wow. They release this movie every six months!
Why is Halloween 2,6,H20 and Resurrection NOT in this set????
That is damn weird
That is damn weird
The reasons are as follows:
Halloween 2 was released on dvd thru Universal.
Halloween 6, H20 & Resurrection were released thru Dimension.
I guess there was a problem with releasing rights That Anchor Bay & the above companies could not agree on.

No thanks.

welcome to the wonderful world of R1, where complete series that have been made with different studios will never see the light of day in one collection. i'm not sure how R2 releases bypass this though..not fair. lol
oh..and i guess they're gonna release an anniversary edition every 5yrs now? lol

That pops up on Ebay every so often and I am assuming you are thinking of the same one I am thinking of. I would love to own that too, as I heard it makes much more sense then the so called sloppily put together "curse of Michael Myers"

more double dipping with Anchor Bay starring Michael Myers, within the past year weve had Evil Dead, Hellraiser, & Phantasm all re-released again. Is there no end to their shameless double dipping x 1000..
I am so passing on this..
I bet we are do for another edition of the Evil Dead Trilogy sometime soon
SHAME on Anchor Bay - release some other horror title for a change, theres plenty of good ones out there that fans would want ...every year its the same thing, Halloween, Evil Dead, Dawn or Day or the Dead ad nauseum...next year will be the 31st anniversary set of Halloween , audio commentary by Michael Myers (both the killer and the comedian) I can see it now SIGH

well you can breathe a sigh of relief for evil dead. according to bruce campbell, their rights have run out so that trilogy box set thats supposed to be coming is their last hurrah for the series.

I don't own any of these yet, so I'll definitely pick it up. I'm not really sure how I feel about it having 4 and 5, but no 2, 3, H20 or Resurection; I really only like 1 and 2 anyway. There's no topping the original, so I kinda wish this just had that and the EE, but oh well.
Rob Zombie's Halloween will be released in a 3-disc set on or about October 21st. Check HKFlix for details.
I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo there!
Sorry, October 7th not the 21st. Sincerest apologies to all.
I'm surprised Universal haven't sold the rights for Halloween II and III to Anchor Bay/Starz. They can't be making much from those titles. I can understand Dimension/Disney not doing so with their titles, they're not known for their co-oporational skills.
That said, the R2 boxset from a few years back consisting from Halloween to Resurrection must have taken some doing.

the laws must be different for R2. i've seen many movies series that were split among studios in north america get a complete series collection in the UK. must be a distribution thing.

this is not needed...its the 30th Anniversary of the original not the others...they should have just re-released the 2-Disc Limited set for people who didn't get to pick that one up
