Horrible artwork, both the picture and the text and it's even a collection!

Manhunter on its own please.
Now I know that Manhunter and Red Dragon or essentially the same film with the latter being much better but you would think that they would have included along with Hannibal rising as well as the entire Hannibal collection was released by MGM and that art work is shoddy.
Netflix time.
Red Dragon better than Manhunter? In a parallel universe maybe.
This release has rush-job written all over it. Would have liked to have Hannibal Rising also, even though Gong Li playing Lady Murasaki is the only reason I even bought the DVD, in the first place.....
Worst Artwork ever...

Red Dragon, the film, is closer to Red Dragon, the book, in storyline (though, both films avoid the more downer aspects of the book's ending). Michael Mann was still in his Miami-Vice mode so the some of the tropical settings (and soundtrack) were there. RD tried to cash in the success of Silence of the Lambs and Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector in this second bite at the apple (in fact, the HL role in it was augmented for more screen time compared to the book). Unfortunately, any film by Brett Ratner is going to pale against a Mann film. Additionally, having the great Brian Cox give his (differing) take of HL is more than worth it. So, I agree with Chris--though I have a copy of RD because Hopkins as Lector still does it for me.

I didn't mind Hopkins in SotL because that was a decent film, but the other two were very disappointing. He also seems to have forgotten that the reason he was talking with a Southern accent was Clarice, yet he continues it when talking to everyone else in the other films (or maybe that's just Hopkins' stock accent). It's way too campy.
Cox's performance was very cold and detached, which I really enjoyed. He's hardly even in the film and you still come away thinking about him (a bit like SotL).

Red Dragon was a bore.
Sucks, I just bought SotL. I genuinely like all three of these films.

Hannibal on it's own please.
It's definitely the best of the three. The other two are good films though, so i'd buy them, but i'd feel more comfortable with having the choice to buy them separately.
Manhunter is better than Red Dragon, which i'd place next to the horrible Hannibal Rising.

Manhunter !!! the only one worth buying !
Will be getting. Really do like the Silence Of The Lambs artwork though.

Ladies and gentlemen, Bizarro Superman.

Hopkins was never as threating as Cox
I prefer Red Dragon over Manhunter. Why can't they give us a bluray collection with Silence, Hannibal, Red Dragon and Hannibal Rising?
Universal put out Red Dragon

The entire Hannibal collection was not released by MGM, only the 3 in this set were. Red Dragon was released by Universal, and Hannibal Rising was released by The Weinstein Company. That's why they're not included.

Manhunter is a masterpiece and close to being my favorite movie ever made. Its soundtrack alone puts it there, though it helps that the film is just as good. Can't wait to pick this up.
Weinstein Co. has the rights to Hannibal Rising, which is why it isn't included.
These discs are probably bare bones, which stinks.
Also, it's spelled "Lecter" not "Lector", as you can see by the cover.

Lame, sticking in Manhunter like it's part of the same series.
Manhunter is definitely the best of the series. I try to forget that Red Dragon ever existed.
I haven't managed to watch Manhunter. Red Dragon was a letdown, compared to Silence of the Lambs. Hannibal was ok. I am partial to Sir Ridley Scott, but Julianne Moore is nothing, NOTHING, like Jodie Foster. It's sad Foster didn't return for Hannibal. It would have made the movie much better. And Gary Oldman reminded me of Brick Top from Snatch... pig farmers both.
Hannibal Rising was one of the worst movies I had seen. It was a complete letdown. It shouldn't be included in any collection! All these flops and the Weinsteins still don't want to give us the only thing that would generate money for them.... Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair.

Should be Lektor due to Manhunter being the first film in the pack

I really wish they had thrown in red Dragon and Hannibal rising too. While I think Manhunter is a much better film then Red Dragon it still would have been nice to have the whole thing on blu-ray.

As mentioned earlier, Red Dragon and Hannibal Rising were made by different studios. I highly doubt MGM would be willing to pay the other companies to include those two. I also doubt that Universal and The Weinstein Company (the owners of those two films) would collaborate with MGM on this. Film studios are greedy that way.

I wasn't fond of Hannibal. It definitely had its moments, but it wasn't nearly as good as Silence of the Lambs. Red Dragon was okay. I have yet to see Manhunter. Perhaps I'll add it to the queue seeing as everyone's raving about it...
Red Dragon was wank, Manhunter is the dogs b*****ks.
