Hard Luck (US - DVD R1)
Sony Pictures has sent over details for the recent film starring Wesley Snipes
Title: Hard Luck (IMDb)
Starring: Wesley Snipes
Released: 17th October 2006
SRP: $24.96
Further Details:
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced the release of Hard Luck for the 17th of October at a retail price of right around $24.96. Actor/producer Wesley Snipes, three-time Golden Globe® award winner Cybill Shepherd and actor/writer/producer Mario Van Peebles star is this quirky, stylized, fast-paced thriller with a touch of social commentary about three seemingly disparate stories that converge in an explosive climax, where each character has to play the cards that life has dealt them to the best of their ability - and in the end, one day becomes the luckiest day of an unlucky man’s life. The disc will present the film in an anamorphic 2.35:1 widescreen transfer, along with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Dolby 2.0 Surround tracks in French and Thai, and optional English, Chinese, French, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai subtitles. At this time extras are set to include a behind-the-scenes featurette and deleted scenes, but we'll let you know if that changes. We've attached our first look at the artwork below.

And yet another once-big actor falls from grace. Even "Blade 4" can't save him now.
its amazing! Wesley Snipes is now up there with Steven Segal and Jean Claude Van Damme in somewhat profitable b-movie disasters!
what a horrible, horrible tag line.
No kidding. Blade 3 came out, what, a year ago? I can't believe how far this guy has fallen. and is it because Hollywood doesn't want to work with him anymore? does he just have horrible instincts on picking projects? or does he just not care and will just do anything for a paycheck? this has to be one of the more bizarre stories in hollywood. but maybe I'm biased because I've always been a Snipes fan....i dunno.
Terrible cast, horrific tagline & absolutely diabolical cover art. yeah ill watch it.

I thought that was Lance Henriksen's job.

So when Did Mario Peebles lose the Van?? Maybe he thinks it sounds cooler, like when Mellencamp lost the cougar.
Haha, yeah, Lance Henrickson, Christopher Lambert, Steven Seagal, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, and Stallone and Schwarzenegger have come DANGEROUSLY close.
I didn't even notice the loss of 'Van' for peebles. then, I haven't been paying attention since New Jack City, a big film with at the time, big promising film talent. Nice to see them reunited in a f**ked up way.... poor cybil, just looks old & f**ked now!
I am in this movie HARD LUCK. I play Cybill Shepherd's retarded son Eugene. I wrote an article about my experiences called CALL ME EUGENE. You can read the article off my website www.mikemessier.com
Go to the website and it's the second link down on the splash page "Mike recalls his HARD LUCK."
Yep, I'm dissapointed this is going straight to video...but I had a great time working with Cybill, Mario and Wesley (I had scenes with all three of them) and the rest of the cast and crew. "James" , Cybill's lover in the movie, is especially a nice guy and great actor and Mary and Diane, hair and make-up , are great people.
Anyway, check out the article on my website
Thanks

I read a review that wasn't half bad, this thing might be worth seeing.
“…I enjoyed it because I'm glad to see Wesley and Mario trying some unusual s**t…it stands out, and by the end I found myself pretty involved.”
It talks about all kinds of original stuff in the film. I'm interested... Let's see.
