glad walmart is having the 2 disc agian but it sucks they cant just sell the 2 disc everywhere. guess its forcing people to buy blu ray. im fine with blu ray but when all my other sets are standard its nice if they all match.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA. Is WB asking me to spend over $100 on a box set that only has the films and a small smattering of features? What in the name of... I mean, could the massive double dip be any more blindingly obvious? Worse yet, they're likely to wait a year or more, or some anniversary garbage meaningless date, before they release the REAL box set they should've been planning for... for years! Years, you guys!
Disappointment! Damn it!

Do you'll think they'll do a two-pack for both parts of Deathly Hallows?
Oh yeah set is so mine on Blu-ray!!!! My holiday wishlist will hurt with this, Cars 2 and Super 8.

I own the boxed set of 1-6 and the individual release of 7. There's absolutely no difference between this and the 7 individual releases except the far reduced price and the reduced amount of space taken up. I'm not too concerned with the incontinuity of the packaging as, y'know, it's just the packaging.

Identical Bonus Features?
Looks like the BluRay 1-8 Box doesn't have all the features of the 2 Disk Blu-Ray for Hallows Pt 2. Either that or they ran out of room to print them on the box. I suspect a more expensive ultimate box is going to come out...
This set is obviously just for the average consumer that wants the films in one collection, with extras not being an issue. I'm sure an ultimate set with many goodies, including a rumored documentary on the making of the Deathly Hallows films, will eventually be released.
Hmm, have to say I'm a little surprised. I was really expecting an extravagant set. I don't mind what we have, it's nice in its simplicity. I'll wait a bit to see if they release another set later down the line.
HARRY POTTER SUCKS it's a garbage
so back when there were only 4 or 5 movies, they made this pretty awesome collection that came in some sorta luggage box with a bunch of physical goodies. and now here we are at the end of the franchise and the full collection is simply a lame box holding it all?
i hope for the fans sake that a much better and proper full series collection is in the works because this is just sad.

may just get the movie only edition
i assume they will announce a 3D bluray soon. The UK is getting 3D Blurays of both deathly hallows part one & two on dec 2, the same day this one hits there, so im guessing warner has yet to announce it is all
also the 3D blurays of both part one & two coming out in the UK are both region free, so there is always the option of importing if they dont get released in the US for some reason

Finally! Oh, sweet baby Jesus, this movie was awesome! Truely an amazing way to end one of the most beloved series of all time. I was never really that big of a Harry Potter fan, whenever someone just talked about him I would just refer him as that 'wizard kid'. But now since the series is over I now realise what a big icon Harry Potter is and how he changed the film industry. It's just weird seeing it all go away. It's like as if I grew alongside Daniel Radcliffe. Seeing him go from a little kid to a serious actor makes it seem like it went by too fast. I still remember seeing the first ever Potter film. Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the best and most emotional film of the year. There were people in the theater crying their ass off while I was just sitting there shocked. Definitely first day, blu-ray buy for me. Harry Potter will be missed.
Love this movie and this series. The blu-ray cover is fine and I would actually like the DVD cover if they used a different photo of Daniel. That one just doesn't look like him, badly photo-shopped. I will buy this blu-ray and of course the eventual Ultimate Edition Series Collection that I assume will be out for Christmas 2012.
If there is a two-disc DVD someplace (like the US Wal-Mart one for part one) I shall get that. I've been waiting for the complete ultimate set for the Blu-rays.
Now THERE'S a series finale! Will wait for the box set of all Ultimate Editions, though. Eat your heart out, Star Wars!

I have them all on DVD and will probably going to get this one on DVD, but owning them all on Blu-ray in a set is a must.
Still waiting on the announcement of a Blu-ray saga box set. That's what I want. These covers are gorgeous, though.
I don't own any of the Harry Potter films on blu-ray and it pains me, to say the least. But, I'm going to continue holding out on finally making a purchase until the inevitable 'Ultimate Edition Blu-ray set' containing all eight films is released. Only a matter of time.
Ultimate Editions: meh. I'll just stick to my standard Blu-rays.

Because it's a dying format.
Anyway, I can't believe how many people are jumping all over this already. I was sure people were going to wait out for the Ultimate Edition of the film. I want to get a set of all of them on Blu-Ray.

The UK is getting a Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, so I expect WB to announce that once the cover art's finalized.

Even though the 3D was converted - and pretty terrible - I'm surprised there's no BD 3D release.
They'll do a barebones 8 disc set with all the movies, then the Ultimate Edition set and then the 3D Blu-ray set. WB will keep double-dipping as long as they see fit.
I have yet to buy a single Harry Potter. I've been waiting ten years for the mother of all blu-ray box sets!
Bring it on!
Bring it on!
I'm going to wait for the Ultimate Editions

Makes me wish WB would package up Part 1 and Part 2 in one package, with the teaser poster art as the front cover. The teaser cover art was glorious -- the best artwork done for a HP movie since the first movie.
I'm surprised WB isn't releasing the 3D version on Blu-ray yet. It was an all right post-conversion, but it would've been better had the production used actual 3D cameras and processing.

As usual, DVD buyers get screwed over when it comes to special features. Hopefully Walmart does another 2-disc special edition like they did for Part 1. The one good thing I can say about the DVD edition is that the cover art is way better than the Blu-Ray.
Am I the only only one who wants an extended version of this move?
Definitely gonna pre-order the s**t outta this on Amazon.

First day buy for sure.
I like the Blu Ray cover, which is probably the one I'll get. I loved the hell out of this one.
I absolutely loved this movie. I'm glad the coverart for the Bluray isn't terrible. Matches the cover for Part 1 well enough, as well. I do sort of wish it could've incorporated this picture of Harry, though:

I am not a die hard potter fan but i guess this was good enough. I mean i didn't think it was some flawless movie that the critics would have you believe. It gets the job done. It was more or less what i expected.
Also i know it was converted but surprised WB isnt trying to bring a 3D bluray to the table.
