Nah, it'll be quicker than that. They'll probably re-release the first six movies as nice CEs to coincide with the theatrical release of the final movie, "Deathly Hallows".
i heard a long time ago that at some point there may be rereleases of all movies in extended versions with commentaries but not sure if they are still going to do that.
I'm not buying any Harry Potter movies until there's a huge boxset with all 7 movies in 2010-11!
It was really tempting at one point last year when they were all around 10$ each! But i said NO and i'll wait for the massive complete boxset!
Oh and i really loved OotP!

This movie was the worst Harry Potter film ever. I watched this one in Imax, but if it wasn't for the 3D, I would have completely hated it. But I'll still buy it though, Blu-ray version's mine, only 'cause I have the other four.
Oh, and they better release a single disc dvd too, 'cause then the "- Disc Edition" won't be "Special."

One of the best yet. Will be picking this up.
Still feel that WB is setting us up for the worlds largest double dip. These DVD releases for the Potter films lack any sort of comprehensive making of feature and they lack commentary. You KNOW that the kids and directors have had to of recorded commentary for these films. If not, somebody at WB has dropped the ball. As much as I want commentaries, if they haven't been recorded and instead, will be done once it is all said and done for a mega box set, will be a shame. Oh well, we shall see what the future holds.

I'll be interested to see what they do with the packaging on this one.

They are -- they actually stated it in the press release, if you read carefully. They haven't released the artwork for the single-disc edition yet -- going by what they've done for GOF, I suppose the single-disc edition will have the exact same art only with a "Widescreen Edition" banner and that it'll be featureless.

I don't like that artwork, but thats my favorite movie of the year, so far.
The earlier cover http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/1769/ootpdvdxh... whas better. Some people are mabey disapointed that the delete scen's are now not more then 10 minutes.
But the ''A&E documentary,Trailing Tonks feature with Actress Nat Tena and the a Fun and Games feature in which director David Yates and editor Mark Day show us what a difference a good edit makes and allows you to edit a scene'' are earlier not confirmd. But let's hope the other future's stay.

The fake cover was horrible. It was ported over from the Swedish poster and it looks awful -- you can hardly recognize anyone in there because it's so airbrushed (only Rupert and Evanna are recognizable) and the same layout from GOF was used in creating it.

I think the artwork is OK.
Nice cover, too bad the film was not.
It was nothing like the book and insted of making it better they're making it worse.

It's fitting that the worst Potter film gets the worst artwork aswell. It wasn't a bad film though... don't get me wrong.
Goblet of Fire: 8.5/10
Chamber of Secrets: 8.5/10
Prisoner of Azkaban: 7.5/10
Philosopher's Stone: 7.5/10

I loved this movie! Out of all the summer blockbusters I believe that this is easily the best, and in my opinion the best Potter film to date (even though I wish they kept a few tid-bits). The filmmakers took the book and slimmed it down into a film that worked and represented the spirit novel. The actors were great, as well as the action and effects. Although I would have liked if they used the second international poster, I like the dvd cover very much, and I just can't wait till Dec 11th to get my hands on that 2-Disc DVD!!!
Wow, we're all pretty divided on our feelings for this movie. Seems we either loved it or thought it was the worst yet! As for the cover, I like it well enough, though Hermione looks a little odd.
my favorite Potter-movie to date. But I rather like the german artwork (http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/51x%2Bq08...), if it is the offical one.
And this would have been great:

Wait - is that the cover art for 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,' or is it the s**t I took this morning? This is just a nasty hodge podge of press photos that looks like it was thrown together in 30 minutes.
What are these various making of features???? and why are the most features only avaliable on HD-DVD. DAMN THAT TOTALLY SUCKS. DAMN YOU WB DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL
this movie was one of my fav im surprised people say this is the worst tø me azkaban was the weakest of the movies the whole movie just felt flat and rushed to be made i dunno why and also i really hope a winner comes out soon from this hd/bluray im tired of hd getin some beter featers etc anyway i will pick this up deffintly or get it for christmas
Yey!!!
Though we continue getting screwed by WB with a single and 2-disc edition$...I'm a fan, so will buy the 2-disc, however, it wasn't as good as PoA, but better than GoF.

who else is excited about the Trailing Tonks feature? The actress who played her was really cute!

Ditto!

I hope there's an extended version of this, because this was so badly edited, it's like they're rushing from one scene to the next.
I would have o say that this was the worst Harry Potter Movie Ever
I love the disc art posted on TheMovieInformer, which I'm actually a co-founder of; although the extent of my building the site was only making the banners (aside from the one ugly Spider-Man 3 one) and fixing the DVD release dates. Anyway, that cover is nice, no matter how many freaks don't like that poster, and I'm making a full-size version of that cover, except probably without the silver border, and a different background design more similar to the ones for the first 3 films.
I'm another in the "loved it" group. I never cared much for this book, but I thought the screenwriter did a near miraculous job condensing it all down.
It's funny how the DVD extras are growing up along with the kids. At this rate we may finally get a commentary by movie #7.

I think a lot of people saying this is the worst Harry Potter movie say this because a lot of the book (i.e. the fans' favorite moments that weren't shot) was cut out or either say it lacks the magic of the previous installments. The movies grew less and less cutesier with each sequel and by the time POA and GOF rolled around the cuteness was gone completely.
Baloney I say. It's a worthy addition to the Potter saga, movie-wise and it's a heck of a lot better than many of those threequels the studios released before it. And at least it wasn't bloated, only 2 hours and 7 minutes long (minus end credits) which is far more economical and entertaining than the likes of "Transformers", "Pirates of the Caribbean 3" or "Spider-Man 3".
