I like them both. The placement of the characters on the single disc art is really cool, but I think I prefer the 2 disc art.

Is it just me, or are there covers getting more and more predictable with each installment?
Where's Kaya Savas at? I suspect that if Hans Zimmer or any of the RC composers has scored this movie, he'd make a post here about it and about getting the Blu-ray release. ;-)
single art is much better. but hello? what about this absolutly wrong back cover? only Harry was on a broom in this one!
First few books were good but the movies are a PIECE OF S**T. Wooden acting, average effects untalented directors. The whole saga seems to have been sugar coated and become more of an american disney type product.
You call Alfonso Cuaron an untalented director? A strange opinion...
I like the single disk art better.
WHAT???
The R2 comes out a MONTH BEFORE R1? That is just f**king wrong!

It seems as though there is an ongoing trend with the back art for the Harry Potter movies -- Harry has to be flying on something and away/towards something.
Philosopher's Stone/Sorcerer's Stone -- Nimbus 2000 towards the Snitch
Chamber of Secrets -- the Ford Anglia flying above the Hogwarts Express
Prisoner of Azkaban -- Buckbeak flying with Harry towards the lake
Goblet of Fire -- Harry flying the Firebolt away from the Hungarian Horntail
Order of the Phoenix -- Harry flying his Firebolt across the Thames
Half-Blood Prince -- ?
Deathly Hallows -- Harry and his friends flying on the dragon away from Gringotts?
Just a personal observation, mind you.
Another DVD web site has a back cover shot of the 2-disc edition at this link: http://www.dvdtown.com/moviedatabase/coverart/h...
Not to mention that site also has a teasing glimpse of the disc art too...

What's with this growing trend of single-disc artwork being nicer than the 2-disc? I like both of these OOTP covers, but once again I think the single disc art is more dynamic.
I always loved the japanese poster, and I'm happy it's being used on the 2-Disc back-cover.
The artwork on the back of the two-disc is my current wallpaper on my computer.
It's rude to point
I will rent this, I do look forward to checking this one out although the reviews aren't so positive..still...what really stinks is with each movie, there is the DVD release and then the gift set with all the movie...
I heard there are 2 more Harry Potter films left,by then I will see if I can get an empty box for free that can hold the entire series so I wont double dip. Some companies will mail off an empty box to put your DVDs in..it is a good way to save $$$

I will never understand why studios insist on making INCOMPLETE box sets for film franchises they KNOW have films left to be added to the public's DVD collections...
...but the one thing I will never, truly, FULLY understand is why and who would buy these incomplete box sets KNOWING full well that more films are in the works and that there will be the inevitable ultra uber cool box set with the full series sold together...
I've just bought them separately thus far. Lest they come out with a box set containing new cuts of the films, I won't worry about my films being in a box.
I miss the digipaks, though, and wish they would have continued that packaging scheme rather than cut it off after CoS.

the 2 disc back cover art looks awesome.
The back cover art for the 2-disc indeed looks awesome, but it seems out-of-place. Instead they should use that back art for when "Deathly Hallows" is released.

i so hear ya....i too dont get it. and this time its even worse because it isnt just a boring old generic c**ppy cardboard box to hold em like they usually do....the set is actully pretty nice and full, to put all that effort into a movie series that still has 2 left....weird.

WOA!!! That's a lot in the Limited Giftset. Although, I think the 1-Disc Front Artwork is better, I think the 2-Disc Back Artwork is so much better.
Wow, sweet boxset! But why release this now?! I haven't bought any of the movies waiting for something like this but with all SEVEN movies, not FIVE!
Might tempting though.. But i'll wait for the ULTIMATE boxset, but this boxset is quite nice though!

this gift set is pointless..why have an incomplete box set?

I do hope that the box will be able to fit the two upcoming films (like they would use the extra goodies to fill in the space that the next two films will take up). but they'd have to guarantee the owners of the limited sets the same package design for those films, which would get pretty complicated. so yeah, this set is not worth getting... but it would be awesome if they did what i just explained. i guess it could work. the next two films would replace the bookmark collection and rather useless dvd game (or maybe there's enough space in the box to fit everything in it). i dont know. they're crazy for releasing this.

That packaging for the boxed set is sweet. But I have to agree, it's c**p that they are releasing a gift boxed set of the whole series when the series really isn't complete! They know full well they will release another whole-uber boxed set when all of them are finally out there! It's so hard to resist this boxed set, because I really don't want to buy another boxed set in the future without feeling like I wasted money. I think I'll resist tempation and avoid the stores. I'll wait for the COMPLETE series boxed set.
I've bought the first four 2-disc editions and I plan to purchase this one.. but I feel if extended cuts are released in the future, I'll have to purchase the Definitive Set at a later date.
As for the film, I enjoyed it. It wasn't wonderful, but it was way better than GOF. For me, my favourite movies are the Columbus films (PS and COS) and I don't think any of them have come close to that yet. Ooh, controversial.

The 1-5 boxset is pointless, such a waste. And they're probably gonna do a 1-6 and then the actualy complete series 1-7. Why can't they just wait? Ridiculous.
Think about it. December release. Rings any bell?? They are just blatantly trying to milk more money out of us to but things like this for Christmas Pressies!! Just don't buy it, then.
nice job making real people look like fake people.
That is not many extras. I am not happy with that at all:-(
Couple more packshots added for the giftset...
Man, that Limited Edition box set looks sweet. I don't own any of the Potter movies, so there's a chance that I may splurge on that one.
