Circuit City Disc
Drop me a note and maybe I can rip you a copy...
" I love the smell of napalm in the morning. It smell.....like victory! " That is another great line spoken by Robert Duvall in this movie.
Because it's supposed to be in fullscreen.
I wish they had included the extras from that damn Circuit City exclusive bonus disc. I really wanted those trailers!

Normally I don't really go in for all these Docos/making of features as they are, for the most part light weight powder puff pieces with a bunch of actors sitting about harping on about how it was such an enriching experience to work with so and so - YAWN!
Heats Of Darkness however is a shining exception to this, in short it is a staggeringly good piece of documentary film making about one of the most important films in 20th century cinema. If you haven't seen it, at the very least rent it when it becomes available. For film buffs and those that grew up with Apocalypse Now being one of those defining moments in their memories then this long awaited release will be a definite must buy.

2007 must be quite a year since all those classic movies are finally coming out in their due form: special editions. Hearts of Darkness is something I've been waiting for a long time to see and it looks like it wont disappoint.
DVDs still hold up good with such classic titles and much-loved titles: Kubrick SEs, Blade Runner 5 discs, and Hearts of Darkness... wow. It's official 2007 is a pretty important year.

Cool. I always wanted to see this one.
Holy Sh!t, how long has this been asked for? What a year 2007 has been for DVD's!
Yes!
I remember watching this years ago. Who could ever forget a very young Laurence Fishburne and a drugged out of his mind Dennis Hopper
Brando was his usual eccentric pompous self absorbed prick! LOL

This is getting out of hand. I am going to have to put my foot down, right after I take this sweet baby home ofcourse.
Well, being such an acclaimed documentary Paramount probably figures it deserves it's own separate release anyway. They gave it special features, which is kind of funny. Hah. I do want this, though. Have not seen it. I might pick it up. The MSRP had better be like 14.95....
Good news!
This definately should have been included with the "Complete" Dosier, which evidently wasn't very complete at all.
It best be nice and CHEAP.

How much you want to be there will be a huge DVD release in 2009 for the 30Th Anniversary of AN and this set will be part of it!

Agreed. Bout damn time.
I am definitely going to buy this, but if in a few months, they decide to release Apocalypse Now w/ Hearts of Darkness as an Ultimate Dossier, I will flip a s***.

According to the DVD Talk review the legal issues around it couldn't be cleared in times.

"You either surf or you fight."
Can't wait to see this.
Can't wait to see this.
I'll pick this up, muttering under my breath the whole time about how mad I still am that it wasn't on the Complete Dossier.
The most awaiting documentary/making-of ever! I can finally buy the 'complete dossier' edition and sell my old Apocalypse Now Redux!!!
Why is it in fullscreen???
