Peccadillo Pictures will be releasing Heavenly Creatures as DVD and Blu-ray editions on the 12th of September. Directed by Peter Jackson and starring Kate Winslet, Melaine Lynskey, Peter Elliott and Jed Brophy, this film follows the relationship between two classmates and the ramifications of their pact to remain together. This release will feature a remastered transfer and a collector's sleeve (slip cover). There is no word of extra features at the moment, but we will provide an update if and when we get it.

If the transfer ends up being solid I'll import this in a heartbeat.

Yeah, this film is brilliant - seen it three or four times. If you haven't seen it, don't be put off by the semi-disaster that was The Lovely Bones. This really is Peter Jackson at his best.
No word on which copy it is, but we suspect it's the shorter print. We've followed Jackson's career from the start - Hell, we are among the few to have seen Meet the Feebles on a theatrical run - but he seems to dislike or is embarassed by his own work, prefering the shortest versions of them rather than one which rounds the story out in a better fashion.
He's still happy to approve the release of multiple versions, though.
