Poor Kari Wuhrer...
Poor Kari Wuhrer...she's had to put up with giant spiders, giant snakes, and insane hitchhikers and now this...I suppose next she'll be thrown into some alternate reality or something. I lost interest with these films after the second one when Clive Barker became no longer involved with them. Hey...isn't there another one of these direct-to-video Hellraiser movies coming out soon too... Hellraiser: Hellworld or something like that or is that the proposed television show? I'm thinking it was the television show now that I think about it...

WOW
The title of the movie sumes up the entire franchise: DEADER.
The first two ere great, but just like many, many franchises, it just got worse as each one came out. I have seen them all, and I will give this a chance when it hits cable.

Killing a legend. I didn't found so great the first movie, but Hellbound was awesome.
And I have to admit I love Inferno, even when it's seems to be a chapter of the twilight zone, but the first of question of all is: Why they cannot try to take the way of the firsts movies?.

7th
This is the 7th Hellraiser Movie!
Kari Wuhrer has really lost all credibility after Sliders ended. She made "THE HITCHER 2!" That was terrible!!!!! NOW THIS!!!

This makes movie number seven in the Hellraiser series. I actually liked the last Hellraiser movie (Hellseeker). Kari Wuhrer also stars in the latest Prophecy prequel (number 4) which is supposed to be coming out from Dimension on June 7th.
This 7th installment (and the 8th due out in Sept, Hellworld) have been sitting on Dimension's shelves for almost two years. Same goes for Prophecy 4 (also starring Doug Bradley) and 5, Dracula III: Legacy, and Crow: Wicked Prayer. All are now being released this summer/fall. Guess Miramax/Dimension finally decided to clean out their vaults.

Wow that is a lot of crap! Studios do not know how to stop! They will think of anything to make money!
What does DEADER mean, is it even a word?

That cover looks like something you'd see in a porno.

About the same number as there are Land Before Time movies. Seriously, they ran out of roman rumerals to number those things. Anyway, bad title and bad art and bad makeup can only lead to a bad movie

As a fan of many horror movies, good and bad, I welcome more. It is the one type of movie that doesn't need to be great to be enjoyable. I am sure many would disagree with that.
That being said, has anyone seen Hellraiser: Hellseeker? I saw someone above mention it, and I'd have to say it was actually pretty good and very original. Kind of surprised me, but I liked it better than some of the Hellraiser movies that came to theaters.

Thanks for providing me with the best chuckle I've had all day.

If it's the "Latest, Most Terrifying Evil" like it says it is...it would probably be in theaters!
That "Latest, Most Terrifying Evil" tagline is going to be outdated three months later when Hellworld is released.
IMO the Nightmare and Friday 13th sequels, even though some were poor. they were alot more entertaining than the Hellraiser sequels, because from IV onwards Pinhead is only in it for the last ten minutes, which is a total con in itself.
No it's not. Hellraiser wasn't about Pinhead until III and IV. His screentime is roughly thirty minutes when you COMBINE the first two films.
Wow, much suckage is apparent here.
I am a fan of the series but I agree they started losing it from the third picture onwards.....
I will get this but.
I will get this but.
For any Kari Wuhrer fans:
She's currently on 'General Hospital' on ABC. It's a soap but those things are darn addictive.
I've only seen the first two Hellraiser movies and part of the 4th I believe.
Ah I kinda like cheesy horror films that have a dozen sequels.
(mostly just around Halloween)

When oh when will they finally drive a nail in the coffin of the series, that last few sequels were awful, no wonder this one from what I heard was shelved for a long time, please let this one or the next one be the last!
Everybody is downing these next 2 installments to the series. I love the "Hellraiser" series even if not directed by Clive Barker after the first 2. I liked "Hell on Earth" but the cenobites they chose to incorporate were abit corny. At least the series is not going in the direction of the "Chucky" franchise. I feel that when they make a Hellraiser film I get to experience more of what the Lament Configuration has to hold beyond our lame "ghetto" world. It's like tuining out of our reality and entering a world unlike no other. I love the Fetishism and S&M aspect of Hellraiser instead of some guy running around with a mask on killing todays pop teen celebs. Hellraiser digs deep and is mature and is NOT what hollywood says that we should watch. I swear Americans are like freakin sheep. We cannot make our own choices, some rap star or tween queen makes then for us. It's very disburbing. If you are a true "Hellraiser" fan than you can accept the films for what they are instead of always being a Roger or a Roper and pick apart the film because it did not have enough sugar coated crap.

I'm actually looking forward to this...
When are we going to get a widescreen R1 version of Hellraiser III. The version of the dvd I have looks like it was copied from a 15 year old video tape!!
I know and it had no good special features! The 'Special Edition' label lies.
Full details on extras now added...

I actually enjoyed all of the Hellraiser films. The first 4 are excellent, but "Inferno" and "Hellseeker" were just average. The bad thing about these direct to video sequels is that they're all closely related because there's not much you can do with this series if you have an extremely low budget.

I consider myself a fan of the first two films, but not any of the rest because, to put it quite simply and to use a word from your post, they are crap.
