It should have been called S**tman.

I had no problem with his age, but man did he look nothing like the Agent 47 from the games. He just looks awful with a shaved head. Drained away all desire I had to see the movie, even as a brainless time waster.

Too young? Timothy Olyphant is gonna be 40 this year. How old did you want the actor to be 50?

Especially if I go away and take my laptop....
If you don't want the extra disc then at least they give you the option of not purchasing it and not "surprising" us with a double dip 3 months from now.....

Yeah, I figured it would have an unrated release as well. Xavier Gens directed this and the studio told him to cut a lot of things. They originally wanted a PG-13. I'm glad they didn't go with that like they did with Live Free or Die Hard though.

AWEFULL< I am so glad I had that free ticket and didn't pay to see this
Dull, Disappointing movie...only worth watching because the female character keeps taking her top off (to distract you how poor the story is).
The assasin/hitman film is nowhere as good as John Woo's the Killer, Leon: the Professional, La Femme Nikita or even the Replacement Killers !!!
So far only the first "Mortal Kombat" movie captured the excitement of a videogame on to film. This film is far too serious and the director is too lame to compensate (apart from when he is copying John Woo and Luc Besson in a few action scenes).

Seeing as "Die Hard 4" got the exact same rating uncut as it did cut, it was STUPIDITY BEYOND ALL REASON to release the cut version in the UK at all.
There is not one single reason for the cut version to have ever existed in the UK, but now you have to pay more if you want the uncut version.
HOLD ON! Perhaps THAT'S the reason!
Anyway...Unrated does not mean Director's Cut.
But 1 minute is actually a long time if that minute is violence reinstated which may last a couple of seconds each time.

Thae movie was ok, but I think they could have done more with the story.

Well, don't kill the messenger. From the guys at The Digital Bits:
Quote: "20th Century Fox has just revealed the DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Hitman on 3/11. The film will be available as a single-disc edition in two versions - a 93-minute Theatrical Edition and a 94-minute Unrated Edition (SRP $29.98)"
And you can also check Fox Home Entertainment press release here:

Liked the film, but it did seem to be ruined in editing. A lot of major problems. I really hope the Director's Cut fixes these problems and makes the movie's pacing and flow better. Hopefully the thing about it only being 1 minute longer is unsubstantiated c**p. We'll see...
I'd rather have my family get held hostage.
Im a huge fan of the games and I though this movie was absolute s**te!
Yes Timothy Olyphant is too young to had played the title role. But anyways... this looked like a solid VG-to-Film adapatation. Im sure it wont top Silent Hill though
Loved this movie. So the Blu Ray will have the 2 disc version or the unrated 1 disc version on it?
Really enjoyed this, but the script(and no doubt the TRUE director's version)were much better. I also disliked the fact that some great scene (some from the trailer) ended up on the cutting room floor after the FOX re-edit. Still, it'll be the 2-discer for me. Very fun flick.
Definitely bad, didn't even think of buying it. But I might rent it in a year or so, I don't mind returning to unrated versions every now and then.
Cool cover.
Any more details on the second disc of the Blu-ray edition? What is the Digital Copy? Is it a 1080p version of DVD version?

As a fan of movies in general, I was bored to tears.
It was the European version of Shooter with a hardon to be Jean Reno's successor but not enough creativity to deliver on that promise. Its pretty damning that Gen wanted his name taken off the film.
Oh and Olyphant is a horrendous actor. He was a sad sack in Die Hard 4 and he just looks stupid in this.

I'm buying it. Very good game based movie.

For a movie based off of a video game this movie wasn't all that bad.Olga Kurylenko is very beautiful and nude in this film,so it does have that going for it though.Hitman had maybe one or two killer action shots but in the end it was a pretty generic action flick with nothing new to offer.I wouldn't buy it.
Not a fan of the game but wanted to see this, missed so I wills urely pick up! I like that movies are starting to be released with a digital copy!!!
Shocking.
it was OK for a time waster. nice action and it has the next Bond girl.
I will not be seeing this film since I heard it's c**p. I'm still waiting for you DVDActive to announce "August Rush."

Missed this in theaters. I like Olyphant, so this will be a definite rent for me. That cover art (and the art on Amazon for the 2-discer) is really stylish.
I've always wanted to play the game series, but never got around to it. I should go pick up the trilogy box set at Best Buy sometime soon here...

Why didn't they do this for Live Free Or Die Hard? Damm you Fox...
For those of you hoping to get a boost from the Unrated cut, notice that according to the news it's just 1 minute longer. Yep, that's it, that's what apparently merits a separate edition nowadays.
So it's not a "director's cut", and it's unlikely it will bring a smoother flow to the movie, just a couple of more explicit shots (no pun intended), I guess...

Nice Cover. Decent Movie. I Think I will grab the 2 Disk.
As a fan of the game series, i didn't like that movie.
First the choice of the main actor was a bad choice, then originally Agent 47 is a silent assassin, in that movie you see explosion like it was a Die Hard movie.
I was disapointed but i expected it.

The 2-disc collector's edition, which can be seen at amazon.com, looks a hell of a lot better. It makes this cover art look like c**p.
Cool cover art. It's bound to be messed up by the time it launches though.
I thought this movie was OK. Some good action scenes. Maybe the Director's cut will flow better. I might pick this up since I am a fan of movies from video games.
Great cover...but how bad was this?
i agree..but as the theatrical cut missed some flow - i'm realy lookin' forword to the DC. I also thought it was a realy nice film, and havein' DCd in my mind, that it can be even much bether, than the TC.
Great movie....especially if you are a fan of the games.
Nice cover!!!
