I'll take the $10 Hollowman 1/2 set rather than shell out more for a movie that wasn't quite that good.
I always enjoyed this flick, but I'll pass, first DVD is good enough
wow a blast from the past. i remember liking the design of the credits in this movie. yeah, the credits! lol

Totally agree.

It is pretty darn strange since this is the film that made him pack up and leave Hollywood (only to return with Zwartboek in the Netherlands...)

i wonder why they didn't put any quotes on the front?
oh yeah, i almost forgot about Hollow Man only getting good reviews from made-up people.

Yes not necessary at all! I bet the 8 minutes are all the deleted scenes we find on the original DVD release pilled up into the movie to make it 'Unrated'
This edition will debut on Blu-ray as well.
P.S oh yeah.... why are some craving the cover art? It is horrendous. It would look more neaty if they would drop the floating heads of Bacon and Shue and just leave the Hollow Man. No?

Yes, a Blu-ray edition will also be available, I read it in another competative DVD news site. I dont know if is the same day release. Hollow Man has not been released on Blu-ray yet, so this is the only chance on getting it. Though I would've liked the 'original theatrical cut' for the Blu release.

Unless those 8 minutes are of Elizabeth Shue stripping nude, I'll pass too.

My thoughts exactly!!!!

My prediction for the directors cut of this film: Bargain Bin at ASDA within two weeks of it being released.....
Probably the deleted scenes put back in like Sony did with The Patriot and a couple other movies. I wouldn't be surprised if they have the Blu-ray version the same day. Then this release would make a little sense.
I thought Hollow Man was alright.
Very cool cover.
Very cool cover.
whatever.
but thats a cool cover.
but thats a cool cover.
yea i liked this movie but agree it is the most random directors cut for a movie.....
Great- now I can sleep at night
I'll rent this only if the 8 minutes are of Elizabeth Shue naked!

I thought this movie was hilarious.

boycott
surprised this didnt come out when the sequel was released...but 8 mins? hmmm....is it 8mins of "character development", which usually means useless stuff that was cut for a reason, or 8 mins of actual story and/or action?
once again i seem to be a minority cuz i liked this...but i'll wait to read reviews and see what is actually added and found out what extras, if any, are on ther.

i have the regular edition but i got it for free
so i dont mind picking this up.
so i dont mind picking this up.
8 minutes of Kevin Bacon's bare ass... no tx!
Should we give credit to Sony for finding a film absolutely no one asked for a special edition? That must have took a lot of research
still hoping for a The Forsaken uncut version.
That art is awesome.
I'll stick with my $5.50 copy, though. That's all this film is worth.

Awful dross. No wonder he pissed off back to Holland after making this thing.
High gloss trash without the irony.

Sc**pping the bottom of the barrel. I stick with my superbit edition. And of course Verhoeven didnt approve this cut.
the only thing appealing about this new edition is the cover art. Way better than the cover art of the original version. Still, not going to buy it for the same reason I didn't buy it when it first came out as the theatrical version.....IT WAS BAD!!!
nice,
cant wait
cant wait
Hmm... 8 minutes eh? Meh. I'll pass.
Great, another useless Sony extended cut for more money. I'd almost bet money that Verhoeven didn't approve this cut.
