Praise Jebus. This is a guilty pleasure of mine and the current dvd release does not cut it.

Agreed, very entertaining film.
I love this film. Unfortunately I have them both on DVD and don't have that much money that I'll rebuy them on Blu, although I have a PS# hooked to an awesome HDTV.
I just bought the bare-bones DVD for $5 at Christmas after giving up on a decent treatment. I dunno why but I always liked this one more than the original. It's not better, but it's certainly not worse like people seem to think.
Very funny film, best in the series. I wish a Special edition will come. I hope this has more features. At least commentary or an interview.
This is a really enjoyable sequel with some really hilarious moments and that same amount of heart. Although if this is a special edition I hope they release one on DVD too like the first since I don't feel the need to own these films on blu-ray.
I'm with Giovanni in every regard.
It's about time 20CF revisited this one. What's it been, 12 years of DVD now with no anamorphic release? That's just lazy. Anyway: Not quite as good as the first, but a great sequel. When my friend and I rented this on VHS back in the day, we kept rewinding the part where Joe Pesci tries to put out his flaming bald head in the toilet full of gasoline. HYSTERICAL.
Wow ... did not expect all the positive words here for this one. Makes me want to revisit it.
I have always felt this was as good as the first one. They kept the formula; kid gets wronged, pouts and then gets left behind, kid rejoices, kid meets a misunderstood older person who he befriends and who ultimately helps kid out of a pickle, crooks show up and are thwarted......nothing new. However, by adding a solid supporting cast of new adult characters and setting it in NY City gave it enough of a different feel that it is the perfect companion to the first.
I always thought that the first Home Alone had the emotional kick needed to become a holiday classic but Home Alone 2 was just funny. It's like they took all the comedic elements of the first one and cranked them up to 11. Definite buy for me.
They need to put that "Angels with More Filthier Souls" short movie on there or I would be really disappointed. Worth buying just to see the short, unedited clip of that faux movie
wish there was some kind of cast reunion available, a round table discussion would be cool.
I hope they finally add some good features to it. Like an interview with Macaulay or Pesci.
I saw the update...only to be disappointed. NO FEATURES? How sad.
Gotta get this and the first one.

When I read on here that this was getting a release on blu-ray I was hoping to see the theatrical trailer and some other bonus features on here, I was surprised to see that the update read no bonus features. The price for this vanilla blu-ray seems to much. I may buy this to complete my Macauley Culkin; Home Alone movies collection when this drops under $30.00 dollars.
There is no excuse for there to be no extras on this. There is a good making of documentary of it, as well as outtakes and other stuff. They're probably going to put out a super deluxe edition sometime down the line.
