What's a good site for UK imports? I want to find it for the cheapest price I can because pounds just cost too much and I got the Spaced set for a lot cheaper than the price this is listed for on Amazon.co.uk
Loved this movie, but honestly Knocked Up made me laugh more and harder so I can't call this the best comedy of the year.
Classic flick
The Region 1 DVD will be released 24th July. Artwork hasn't been confirmed yet though.

Probably one with a big ugly rating on it!
As original Peter Jackson fanser, we love your signature, BTW...

R1 better have all those extras. The commentaries look hilarious.A commentary by the The Real Fuzz and one by Edger Wright/Simon Pegg.Awsome!!!Plus the towns people!
Four stars to the movie-title-parody-style chapter titles in the spirit of the film's actual title.
Man that's a lot of extras
News article altered to reflect revised release date.
Jesus H. Christ... look at all those extras!! Totally sweet - I'm gonna spend weeks going through all this stuff. Thank you for putting the menu screens up! Looking forward to "Hot Funk", "Dead Right", and "The Man Who Would Be Fuzz". And thank f*ck they put the trailers on - I loved the trailers for this movie.
Thank you, Edgar Wright and Universal, for putting together a great DVD package! Can't wait 'till June 24th! (Actually, I'll probably receive it here in the states from amazon.co.uk a week after that...)

I pre-ordered it before it hit theatres in Norway. It looks like I will be getting the first cover. I liked the second better, but it's the discs that matters.
Amazing film, great humour and even better cover art. Kudos to Universal.
Just watched this movie. It was awesome. Definitely going to be picking up the DVD. I'll probably get the region 2 even though I'm in the states. 3 cool covers to choose from, great sounding special features, plus a sooner release date.
I want to see this bigtime. I hope we get a decent region 1 release, but we will probably get bare bones city compared to what is going to happen for Region 2. Oh well.

Echoing laughs....

A man of cinematic breeding, Mr Powers! This happened to us with Naked Gun 2 1/2, as we were the only ones is an entirely stuffed cinema who both got the joke and laughed out loud with Peter Mark Richman screaming: "It's a cookbook!" near the end.
It's great that we inadvertantly upheld a family tradition, as our father said that during a "turning-people-away-at-the-door" full screening of Airplane he was at in 1980, he was the only one of the entire audience who laughed at the line "...have you ever seen a grown man naked?"

Wonder if they can't do the same thing that the R4 "Serenity" had - it had the exact same artwork on the reverse side of the insert minus the "big ugly rating". Kinda neat, that way...

I guess you guys will be getting freebies of the DVD in advance?
Hot Fuzz has performed FAR better than they expected - Universal are probably kicking themselves that they didn't give it a wider release...

Ah, the Wilson Brothers!! Nice to know...
I want to see this. It was in limited number of theaters in the USA (825 screens), but it still managed to come in at number 6. The extras sound cool. I love the first two covers. Hopefully Universal in the USA will use one cover as a slip cover and the other as jacket art.
No, nobody cares Nic.
...unless you've got a screen capture.
And Wilsons, I can picture you guys now, of course. There were just so many cameos and Spaced and Shaun of the Dead references I was overwhelmed.

I was in Harry Potter if anyone cares.
True story.

Never mind, there's always next time, Gabe...

It was a blast to be a part of, and who wouldn't want to get paid for throwing meat-cleavers at the police?
S**t, I knew I'd forget to look for you!

Oh yeah I'll be picking this up for sure. The second cover is the best.
Ok I saw it.Best comedy of the year and definitly best cop/action film spoof.Cannot wait for it on Region 1.The second artwork is my fav."Yeah, motherf**ker!," that about sums it up.Loved all the movie references, especially the Woo ones.
Great specs there... Although Simon Pegg did say that the region-1 dvd will include footage from the Us tour.
I never got round to seeing this in the theatre (it was released a few months back) so will have to check out the DVD. I've yet to see Shaun of the Dead too, this appeals to me more.
Very good and recommend UK e-tailors are:
www.play.com - One of the best
www.cd-wow.us - More international than UK, .com is their UK site
www.dvd.co.uk
www.sendit.com - A bit pricey really
www.choicesuk.com
www.blahdvd.com
www.amazon.com - A bit pricey really
I don't know if they knock VAT off or ship to the USA though. CD-WOW offer free postage from and to anywhere in the world but some don't.
You'll have no troubles with any of that lot.
And the rest:
"Bensons World" can be good value but usually aren't and I've been messed around by them a couple of times so wouldn't recommend them. I hear "Foxy" are good but have never used them and the likes of:
Asda - Owned by Wallmart
Tesco - The British Wallmart, soon to be in the States
Sainsbury - Another supermarket
Woolworths - General store
Are also reliable but usually have pants prices. "HMV" is a music store like "Tower Records" and again reliable but again usually rubbish prices.
"101CD" are also reliable but again usually poor pricing.
The rest are very small companies and I've barely heard of them.
p.s - It's nice to see British films going down a storm in The States, a market not easy to break.

Wow, now this is how a DVD should be released!!!
I'm going to see this tomorrow in the theater, but if I like it (and I expect I will...) I'm ordering this!
Oh, and I like the second cover

Argh I wanna see this. It just came out today in Canada and US.
Packed as usual, I hope I can get it in a double-pack with Shaun of the Dead.
Thanks for that!

Don't know much about those cheapest sites on the list; Amazon UK and Sendit.com are both great. (And remember that Amazon's listed price includes the VAT, which is removed in the checkout process.) Seeing this tomorrow, ordered it tonight... :-)

Loved this movie so much that I'm actually gonna pay the $35 to have it imported to the US from Amazon.uk. Does anyone know of a cheaper website where I can get it from the UK shipped to the US for lower than $35? If so please let me know. I have nothing but praise for this, but still not as good as Shaun.
I love all the covers, but the second one is the best. Cant wait to see this as i loved Shaun of the Dead.
These covers will be retail exclusives
I know this because HMV will have an exclusive. Which one i dont know yet but its true i tell thee!

Just got back from seeing it. It is bloody, and I do mean bloody, brilliant. Right now I'm thinking it is equal do SHAUN OF THE DEAD, if not a little better. Wright/Pegg/Frost have come up a new kind of parody film...one which is aware of the conventions of a particular genre, one that gently mocks those conventions & beats but also one that can stand on its own as part of that genre. The movie is a big smile from start to finish and a who's who of Brit comedy although it should be noted Timothy Dalton walks off with the film every time he is onscreen. I'll be picking up the R2 when it comes out and I'll be seeing the movie again in a few days.
Cannot wait to watch this in a couple of hours!!!Loved Shaun of the Dead and English humor.Python 4 Life!I the first two designs. The last one is strange.
I prefer the second cover. I was gonna wait for this to come down in price, but a look at those extras means I will be getting it straight away! Great film, Really funny. Hope it does well in the US this weekend.
I also hoped that the extras would have the guys video diary form their US promo tour.

Oh God I can't decide between the first two covers!
I gotta still go see this in theaters, but I hope R1 gets this sweet dvd (preferably with the 2nd cover).
This movie is out in theaters today! Those guys are brilliant!!
nice extras, great covers.
I want the HD-DVD but I'll probably but this to tie me over.

Awesome. This movie just came out here today in the States, but I've already got it on pre-order from Amazon UK. Saw it last month at a preview, followed by a Q&A with Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. This is a very entertaining movie, and I'll be happy to see this DVD in the post!
Of the three designs, I like the first one the best.
