Terrible movie. Absolutely terrible, and boring.

I disagree.
It just depends on taste
Fulci wasn't even good enough to shine Romero's shoes. I remember when he dissed him in Fangoria. "Dawn of the Dead was a terrible movie, it was only Argento's editing that saved it." Like you can do better bub.
I really like Fulci in general, and House by the Cemetery in particular. Granted, he's nowhere near the storyteller that Romero is, his films exude a romantic nihilism reminiscent of the literature of H.P. Lovecraft.
That said, there's absolutely no need for me to double-dip this one.

Yea Fulci has some fantastic set pieces in his films. His story may suffer because of it but he can really make certain scenes pop.. Comparing him to Romero is simply unfair..
Romero is one of my all time favorite filmmakers, but he didn't have the technical skills Fucli had, not at the time. Dawn of the Dead is my favorite movie, but despite his awful scripts, dated special effects, and low, low budgets, Fulci got some amazig shots during his early 80s period. The films don't touch Romero's best on overall quality, but scene by scene I give him the edge. It's too bad he made such garbage later on. This might actually be his last "good" film.
