We have no word on any extra material for this one I'm afraid, but we'll let you know if we hear anything. Stay tuned. For now though, here's our first look at the official package artwork:

Quote: Revealing the private world of Saddam Hussein and his inner circle, this gripping 4-part, 4-hour miniseries charts the rise and fall of one of the most significant political figures in recent history. Over the course of 27 years, Saddam (Igal Naor) rose from peasant origins to the highest office in Iraq, consolidating his power by executing those who posed real or imagined threats, and surrounding himself with family members, ultimately his notorious sons Uday and Qusay. Along the way, Saddam pushed aside his wife Sajida (Oscar® nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo) for a young mistress, orchestrated the death of Sajidas brother Adnan (his closest confidante), and forced two cousins of high rank who had married his daughters to divorce their wives before meeting a grisly end.
In the end, House of Saddam reveals its title character as a man of undeniable vision ultimately brought down by his own flaws especially an unquenchable thirst for power, attained at all costs, including the sacrifice of those who were closest to him.

Yeah, I caught the 3rd and 4th episodes one night, basically detailing the '90s weapons inspections era and then the '03 invasion, Uday and Qusay killings, and subsequent capture of Saddam in Dec. '03.
To me, it was laughable on how the women in Saddam's life either were totally ignorant of or indifferent to the attrocities committed by Saddam. Like when the news networks broadcasted the uncovering of Shiite mass graves, the women said, "Coalition propaganda". Yeah sure...all that s**t was made up and filmed somewhere else or some s**t.
The Uday and Qusay killing was indeed not accurate from what I've heard. IIRC, the US pummelled the house with .50 cal machine gun fire and LAW rockets. However, I'm not quite sure as I have yet to watch that particular episode of History Channel's Shoot Out! series.

This miniseries was very well produced, Saddam was played very convicingly, and is from a very interesting perspective. This should not be overlooked!!
I liked it. It was a good series. I may buy it based on what extras it has.
Well having seen it and read about Saddam, I found it watchable. But get a load of the wrong guns the US troops have when they show up. Plus the attack on Uday and Qusay isn't accurate. Too much history is left out(it would have added and not slowed the mini down). Read a book if you want the real story. But if you want the basics, give it a watch. But its no "John Adams."
They should have called it House of Saddam and Fog.
What with Shohreh Agdashloo being in it.

caught this on hbo or showtime. one of them... it was slow but entertaining
I'm somewhat curious...
It's actually quite good. Enjoyed it when the BBC showed it last year
Haha. WTF? Seriously?
