Universal Home Video has revealed artwork for a special edition of Howard the Duck which will arrive in stores March 10th. Retail will be around $14.98. Extras will include behind the scenes featurettes (A Look Back at Howard the Duck, Releasing the Duck, News, The Stunts of Howard the Duck, The Special Effects of Howard the Duck, The Music of Howard the Duck), and teaser trailers. The artwork is attached:

FINALLY!!!!! we are getting this long awaited classic on DVD!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on this.

Now all I need is TERRORVISION on dvd and I can die happy.

Wasn't there talk of doing a CGI Howard (à la Jar Jar Binks) over the original performance? I might have paid to see that.

Still surprised to see Lucus's name on the cover though.

Ah c**p. No Blu Ray. I've always had a soft spot for this "so bad it's good" camp classic. And now when I see Tim Robbins doing a horrible Donald Duck impersonation with "You Howard, me Phil. We... be FRIENDS!" cracks me up more than ever!

I for one am glad that this is finally getting a good dvd release with good bonus features, I was secretly hoping for a commentary on this movie with some of the participants in the movie. Maybe will get this on blu-ray eventually, just be glad it is not Ishtar getting released.

Masters of the Universe is on DVD, I've had for years. No Blu ray, but I doubt it will ever be on Blu ray.

If retail is $9.99 I may pick it up.
