Ice Age 2 released for Region 3 on 3rd October!
Just for everyone info! Ice Age 2 just released in Region 3 on 3rd October over here in Singapore. The disc is fine if you are not into extra. The only extra feature is Scrat Short "No Time For Nuts", commentary from Director and Producer, Simpson movie Sneak Peek, Garfield 2 DVD trailer, and a game called Ice Age Factoid Maltdown.
No DTS sound track, but 5 Dolby Digital sound track provided - English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and Thai. Maybe that explain why they run short of space for other extra! DVD cover is the same as Region 1 and 2.
I repeat - The extra is less then Region 1, and 2!

I didn't catch this in theaters, but I enjoyed the first, so I'll Netflix it.
2nd one was miles better....why? because there were more scenes with Scrat....... Nuff Said.
I loved Ice Age, but I thought Ice Age: The Meltdown was so much better. Can't wait till November 21st. Will buy the widescreen edition.
I was hoping for an earlier release date on Ice Age 2.
This feels like it will be a 2 disc then for R4 - my knees a tingleing......
No it was not. But if you really liekd the first one you should enjoy the second, I think the first one was both warmer and alot funnier than the sequal.
I heard the 2nd one was even funnier than the first. Anyone agree with this? Thinking about a blind buy with this one.
If it's not a 2-disc then expect one since Fox will most likely dip it again.
I'll add this for the kids, since they liked the first one and I have issues not completing sets.
Artwork added for a double-pack. And, no Fabricio - it's just a single disc.
is it gonna be 2 discs like the first one?
liked the first one,so I know I will like the second, great artwork, read reviews heard from numerous of friends and people was really good and cute, hopefully worth my money when realesed to dvd, have a feeling it will be.

The artwork is better than I thought it would be. To bad Meltdown is a less than stellar sequel.
maybe this will be a 2-disc because it has the ame amount of extras that the unrated version of MR. AND MRS. SMITH had
Loving the specs but I hope that isn't the artwork.
How about a "Funniest Line/Sequence" contest for the fun of it?
I'll go first:
The "Food! Glorious Food!" sequence involving the vultures.

Artwork ROCKS!
It's probably getting released at this time in order to cash in on the day after Thanksgiving, where most US retailers have big sales, sometimes starting at 6 in the morning. And thus, it'll be one of the top sellers for Christmas...
I was reluctant to watch Ice Age becuase I don't normally go out of my way for CGI unless it's Pixar, but my sister begged me to buy it and I'm glad I did.
My big regret? Buying it so early that the sequel isn't in theaters anymore and now I have to wait this long for it on dvd

I'll get it just for the Simpsons preview.
My kids can watch the other stuff!

Probably when Ice Age 3 comes out they will release a two disc edition but this edition does have a lot of special features. I am going to get this...it is a lot better than the first movie
I suspect there will be a 2 disc'er - if not now then definatly in the future.
No 2-disc?!
I like the cover, but was Scrat important enough in the movie to take up half of the cover?

Great movie and enjoyable not only for kids and even if they consider it for kids, 21st of November is a loonnnnnnggggg way from now.i'll surely pick it up and will double dip on it if they release a 2 disc edition. This really is an amazing movie.
Missed that one at the movies and i'll be sure to pick that up!Very nice cover too...
I liked this film and the first. I bet after this version it will be double dipped in 6 months to a year...
Another website posted this as the release date months ago..beleive it or not. I have that new 2 disc Ice Age, and now I am going to get this...a day before my birthday

so, are we once again getting the trashy one-disc edition?
Not to be nit-picky but there is no "2" in the title. Its called "Ice Age: The Meltdown". I know I have a problem. lol
But I like the cover, and the specs seem decent, I doubt its gonna be a 2-disc set though.

I liked the first one quite a bit, so I'll be seeing this one. November is a mighty long wait, though.
I love the artwork and its a great film, is it 2-disc like the first one?
Artwork RULES!!
it's considered a kids movie so thats probably why they're releasing it so late (and so close to xmas)
What is up with the date? Pretty long ways away, 'eh?
I hope the case is blue.
Oooh. Me likes the cover!
November 21. And they're advertising it already???!!!
Wow...
Wow...
