Smells like a winner.
I actually love the first one and never saw the sequel. For the third installment, the cover art on this page is the closest I will watch the movie.
A third one? Geez... I have the first two on DVD.
Darn when I saw this I was hoping Freddie and Jennifer would be in this but since they aren't I don't think I'll be seeing this.
Here's the director's commentary verbatim:
"So, we decided, you know, we were watching I Know What You Did Last Summer on TNT about a month ago and we were just like, you know what? This is a great movie. It's just got all the elements. It's got everything that makes a movie, right? Like actors and a story and a guy with a hook. How iconic is that? A guy with a hook. The whole parka deal. The...what is it. The fish coat, I guess. We used a yellow parka here but it was a fish coat of some kind in the first movie.
"We were titling the official screenplay napkin I Still Know What You Did Last Summer but as it turns out that's already been made so we rented it and we were like, whoa. Hey. This is a great film. That really made us crank everything up to the next level, you know? 'Cause it's like somebody already made a sequel that's actually better than I Know What You Did Last Summer. So we were really inspired by that, but at the same time a little intimidated. How do you trump a flick like that? Short answer: You can't.
"So we threw some names around. I Really Know What You Did Last Summer. There was a few hours there in the beginning where we thought about changing the season, you know? What You Did Last Winter. Put a spin on things, right? But then we figured it wouldn't do us any favors to go messing up the formula so we scratched that one out and then John thought, hey, you know what? I'll ALWAYS Know. Came to him out of nowhere. It was perfect.
"So about three days after that we had the film wrapped up and...oh, hey, there's the credits. I waited my whole life for this moment. I'm going to be a snooty commentator and sign off at the start of the credits instead of talking all the way through them. Sayonara suckers!"

I might buy it but this is direct to video so Ill have to see the trailer first and some reviews fo the film!
Does anyone have a preview or clips for this?
Wow, this just blooks sad. Why would sony even bother.
check out my site www.dvdsequels.com
wtf!?! when was this made?? and... WHY?? :/
lmao. I just have one question: What the f*** is that?
p.s. The babe in the middle looks too like Shakira.

That cover is so 1990s.
Seriously do these straight to video sequels make the studios any profits? with no theater play, most poeple don't even know these movies exist.
Hilarious title.
Smh
When did this stinking beast get made? I will ALWAYS know what you did last summer? As if the original title wasn't a mouth full already. What on earth will they do for the next? I Will Always Try My Best To Ruin Your Summer As I Was There Last Summer When You Did Something Bad! Don't get me wrong the original movie was fun if taken for what it was, a great teen slasher movie with a beautiful cast. The second one was dreadful (I remember an island... was there an island?) and the Hollywood Machine should hang its head in shame as this is just another example of the money making juggernaut that sit behinds every exec's desk. "I Know How to Print Money", perhaps is a more accurate description. No thanks... next!
Ah hahaha! Pathetic.
"I Know What You Did Last Summer" was a fantastic horror movie. It was funny and scary and had memorable charecters. It was one of the best of the 90s teen-slasher flicks. But its real sequel "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" was a dud. It was so stupid and not scary, everything good about the first one was gone. Not we get a direct-to-DVD movie, called "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer". Which is basically a remake of the first movie. I plan to never watch this stuipd film. I hate the cover, just look at those horrible facial expressions!
This will be rubbish but I am surprised it took so long.
The first time I heard about the third Movies was 7 years ago under the title "I still really know what you did last summer". HAHA. Such creative names.

I'll pass. let some of these direct to dvd sequels just die.
Where did this come from? Maybe it is a remake, or a reimagining, but how is it a sequal w/o JLHewitt?
It's like they snuck out one night, and made the move to avoid the masses talking about how it should not be made. I suppose part four will be: I Still Always Know What You Did Last Summer.

IMDB still has this movie categorized as being in production. Hilarious! I'm sure Jennifer Love Hewitt turned down this sequel because of her schedule on the show "Ghost Whisperer" and her pay scale exceeds the entire budget of the average direct-to-video movie.
RUN AWAY RUN AWAY, IT'S A BOMB! A BOMB! IT'S GONNA BLOW!

I recently read that DVDs make more money than the theatrical release. That really shocked me, that's why I remember it.
DVD sales and rentals also produce a bundle for studios — so much so that a movie's theater release is now sometimes seen as an ad campaign for the DVD, and a DVD's release is an event in its own right. Last year, combined U.S. revenues from DVD sales and rentals totaled about $23.4 billion, more than twice that of box-office sales, according to Digital Entertainment Group.

Not of the Series it's not:
"boxset that contains all three of the films. This should retail at around $39.95." ($24.96 for the DVD)
IF you'd read a little closer, you wouldn't have to put up a post like that.

I'm anxious to see it (probably just buy it), not expecting much, but sometimes those are the only movies that live up to the expectations.

I have fixed the link in the above post. Reason it doesn't work is it uses commas and they aren't supposed to be used in a URL. If it fails to link autmatically just remember to use the URL tags.
