Well, I am gonna see this movie the first day it is released. If my local Blockbuster even bothers to pick this turd up. Anyways, if I see it, I'll be one of the first to say how I feel about it on here. Lol.
I like the collection case, but I am a bit uneasy about the 3rd film. I am excited though! I loved the 1st 2!

Hey I love stupid horror movies
That boxset cover is seriously a joke, it has to be. My god, it's hideous.
loved the commentary verbatim!!!
Home is the new cinema. More and more obnoxious people in the cinema, high ticket prices, rip-off cinema food prices, bigger and better home systems and cheaper rental/retail prices mean many people (a huge epic aside maybe) prefer home viewing.
And they can make A LOT of money, more than any cinema release.
There are good things about this and bad things.

Jeez. I thought the first one was OK but the "I Still Know..." wound me up. Other than the title making no sense (it's set another year after that summer), the whole plot hinges on no one in the audience knowing what the capital of Brazil is.
A lot of people must be picking up these DTV sequels otherwise we wouldn't be getting them on the shelves every week. This has been going on as long as there's been home video releases but for some reason the releases are getting a higher profile. Our local Tesco has a big cardboard display inside the front door for Dr Dolittle 3 like it's the big DVD of the week!

Seen the first one. Hated it nearly as much as that other perfect example of why mainstream horror is mostly UTTERLY MORONIC, SOULESS AND PASSIONLESS, "Urban Legend".
They would have to pay ME to pick up this turd.

Haha, I'll Always know what you did last summer! You couldn't make something up that funny. Looking forward to the sequels. I might still know what you did last summer. I kind of recall what you did last summer. It rings a bell what you did last summer. Ok, I finally died and forgot what you did last summer, you can stop making sequels now. How many of these can they make?

The box set looks cool but I have the box set of 1 and 2
I just looked up some more details about this waste of celluloid on IMDb and is it just me, or is every straight-to-video slasher sequel shot in Utah these days. Why is that? Is there some Mormon tax break for making cheap slasher sequels or something?
Artwork now added for the boxset...
The mexican girl looks scary!
Whoops forgot one thing these DTV films make money for the studios as Hollow Man 2 came out this week and sold out at the circuit city I work for. It sold out in two others in our district also!
I'm actually amazed that the first "I Know" film has so much love for everyone...when I originally saw it in the theatre, I hated it thinking it was generic horror, Stayed away from the sequel, as I will this one. Anyone else think Kevin Williamson is a terrible script writer? I know he didn't have anything to do with the two sequels but still any film he writes tries so hard to be cool with lame wit and self-referencing humor that isn't funny. One more thing the first film is based off a Teen Novel that I found in my school's library in 1998. The novel version was pretty bad like the film. I would love to know if anyone else read it and thier thoughts.
lmao, I love the plot outline for this on IMDb. I read it and said to myself, "isn't that the exact same plot as the first movie?"
Gawd - they just wring them out of the woodwork sometimes don't they - WHY???
Yeah, "Scream" is very dated by today's standards.
Every film in the series just aren't good slasher films. The first one was OK for passing the time, but the sequel just was really bad. Even Scream and the sequels don't hold up very well these days.
File under U for unnecessary.

Is that really saying much? It was a Scream wanna-be to me and the only thing rememberable about the moving was the ending.
"Urban Legend" was a better "Scream"-wannabe than "I Know What You Did Last Summer" was anyway.

More gore usually means less story, making it utterly pointless.

The thing I liked about the original was the dark visual style and soundtrack, the second was a poor sequel that at least retained the main characters. Got no idea what to expect from this one.

IF you'd read a little closer, you wouldn't have to put up a post like that.
Relax there buddy... take a breather
Besides.... I'd GLADLY pay 40 measely bucks for the GREATEST SEQUEL OF ALL TIME... 'More American Grafitti'... eat your heart out!

I have fixed the link in the above post. Reason it doesn't work is it uses commas and they aren't supposed to be used in a URL. If it fails to link autmatically just remember to use the URL tags.

I recently read that DVDs make more money than the theatrical release. That really shocked me, that's why I remember it.
DVD sales and rentals also produce a bundle for studios — so much so that a movie's theater release is now sometimes seen as an ad campaign for the DVD, and a DVD's release is an event in its own right. Last year, combined U.S. revenues from DVD sales and rentals totaled about $23.4 billion, more than twice that of box-office sales, according to Digital Entertainment Group.

I'm anxious to see it (probably just buy it), not expecting much, but sometimes those are the only movies that live up to the expectations.

RUN AWAY RUN AWAY, IT'S A BOMB! A BOMB! IT'S GONNA BLOW!
IMDB still has this movie categorized as being in production. Hilarious! I'm sure Jennifer Love Hewitt turned down this sequel because of her schedule on the show "Ghost Whisperer" and her pay scale exceeds the entire budget of the average direct-to-video movie.
Where did this come from? Maybe it is a remake, or a reimagining, but how is it a sequal w/o JLHewitt?
It's like they snuck out one night, and made the move to avoid the masses talking about how it should not be made. I suppose part four will be: I Still Always Know What You Did Last Summer.

I'll pass. let some of these direct to dvd sequels just die.
This will be rubbish but I am surprised it took so long.
The first time I heard about the third Movies was 7 years ago under the title "I still really know what you did last summer". HAHA. Such creative names.

"I Know What You Did Last Summer" was a fantastic horror movie. It was funny and scary and had memorable charecters. It was one of the best of the 90s teen-slasher flicks. But its real sequel "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" was a dud. It was so stupid and not scary, everything good about the first one was gone. Not we get a direct-to-DVD movie, called "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer". Which is basically a remake of the first movie. I plan to never watch this stuipd film. I hate the cover, just look at those horrible facial expressions!
Ah hahaha! Pathetic.
When did this stinking beast get made? I will ALWAYS know what you did last summer? As if the original title wasn't a mouth full already. What on earth will they do for the next? I Will Always Try My Best To Ruin Your Summer As I Was There Last Summer When You Did Something Bad! Don't get me wrong the original movie was fun if taken for what it was, a great teen slasher movie with a beautiful cast. The second one was dreadful (I remember an island... was there an island?) and the Hollywood Machine should hang its head in shame as this is just another example of the money making juggernaut that sit behinds every exec's desk. "I Know How to Print Money", perhaps is a more accurate description. No thanks... next!
Smh
Hilarious title.
Seriously do these straight to video sequels make the studios any profits? with no theater play, most poeple don't even know these movies exist.
That cover is so 1990s.
lmao. I just have one question: What the f*** is that?
p.s. The babe in the middle looks too like Shakira.

Wow, this just blooks sad. Why would sony even bother.
Does anyone have a preview or clips for this?
I might buy it but this is direct to video so Ill have to see the trailer first and some reviews fo the film!
Here's the director's commentary verbatim:
"So, we decided, you know, we were watching I Know What You Did Last Summer on TNT about a month ago and we were just like, you know what? This is a great movie. It's just got all the elements. It's got everything that makes a movie, right? Like actors and a story and a guy with a hook. How iconic is that? A guy with a hook. The whole parka deal. The...what is it. The fish coat, I guess. We used a yellow parka here but it was a fish coat of some kind in the first movie.
"We were titling the official screenplay napkin I Still Know What You Did Last Summer but as it turns out that's already been made so we rented it and we were like, whoa. Hey. This is a great film. That really made us crank everything up to the next level, you know? 'Cause it's like somebody already made a sequel that's actually better than I Know What You Did Last Summer. So we were really inspired by that, but at the same time a little intimidated. How do you trump a flick like that? Short answer: You can't.
"So we threw some names around. I Really Know What You Did Last Summer. There was a few hours there in the beginning where we thought about changing the season, you know? What You Did Last Winter. Put a spin on things, right? But then we figured it wouldn't do us any favors to go messing up the formula so we scratched that one out and then John thought, hey, you know what? I'll ALWAYS Know. Came to him out of nowhere. It was perfect.
"So about three days after that we had the film wrapped up and...oh, hey, there's the credits. I waited my whole life for this moment. I'm going to be a snooty commentator and sign off at the start of the credits instead of talking all the way through them. Sayonara suckers!"

Darn when I saw this I was hoping Freddie and Jennifer would be in this but since they aren't I don't think I'll be seeing this.
A third one? Geez... I have the first two on DVD.
I actually love the first one and never saw the sequel. For the third installment, the cover art on this page is the closest I will watch the movie.
Smells like a winner.
Hi-freakin'-larious.
