Click here for some early news about the forthcoming Blu-ray movie collection
Title: Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures
Starring: Harrison Ford
Released: 8th October 2012
SRP: £64.99
Further Details:
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures for the 8th of October, priced at around £64.99. Details are still sketchy, but the announcement below mentions one or two of the specifics and we managed to uncover some limited details of the bonus material. There will also be a deluxe edition priced at around £119.99, but we don't know what that contains at this time.
Synopsis: Supervised by director Steven Spielberg and renowned sound designer Ben Burtt, Raiders of the Lost Ark has been meticulously restored with careful attention to preserving the original look, sound and feel of the iconic film. The original negative was first scanned at 4K and then examined frame-by-frame so that any damage could be repaired.
The sound design was similarly preserved using Burtt’s original master mix, which had been archived and unused since 1981. New stereo surrounds were created using the original music tracks and original effects recorded in stereo but used previously only in mono. In addition, the sub bass was redone entirely up to modern specifications and care was taken to improve dialogue and correct small technical flaws to create the most complete and highest quality version of the sound possible while retaining the director’s vision. The result is an impeccable digital restoration that celebrates the film and its place in cinematic history.
Alongside this, for the first time ever on Blu-ray, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is presented in its uncut format 28 years after it was first released in cinemas. The original release was cut in 1984 in the UK to obtain a PG rating, however fans can now witness all the gory cut extras in all their glory.
The installments in the franchise have won a combined seven Academy Awards®. Relive every heart-pounding thrill like never before as all four films arrive together, for the first time presented in 1080p high definition with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio accompanied by a collection of documentaries, interviews, featurettes
and new bonus features.

I think we can thank Crystal Skull's 12 certificate for that (to a small degree), so it was good for something!

They're not rumours, it's been confirmed for some time. The press release I posted above even says so.
It would have been nice to see the piece that got deleted just after Indy and Marion get out of the Well of Souls, where Indy beats up a couple of Nazis - you can seen them lying unconscious for a split-second in the finished film.

Shame. Hopefully the full extras haven't been finalised yet. I do like my deleted scenes to my most beloved films!

Temple of Doom rocks...and yet got a mindboggling rep as the worst of the original three when it's actually the best one.
Seeing as KotCS is a 12 certificate, it will hopefully mean that ToD can finally be released uncut in the UK.

It'll probably cost you just as much to buy three separately as it will the boxed set.
Im surprised I'm not excited about this. After thr debacle that was the star wars hd set, lucasfilm can go swing as far as concerned. If they come out separately I'll buy raiders.
