A disappointing sequel. While flawed right from the get-go, the film is actually pretty decent until the third act, which takes a bizzare turn and goes the "good chinese vs evil white guy" route. a real shame.
Hardly unique though is it? The opposite has also been the case in films for years.
Indeed. Fu Manchu (Evil), Charlie Chan (Good), China Doll and of course, Dragon Lady stereotypes. Either way you look at this, it's wrong. I am watching this for the martial arts, so I have no problem ignoring the political theme. East VS West is so overly played out.
